Did someone say that BF5 was recently written up in Rolling Stone? Maybe some industrious typist could post that article for us all.

Frank, you are good person for doing this. You probably didn't need the extra work that this is going to be, but this mailing list is long overdue. I'm proud to be a charter member!

Last week I asked Darren when they would be back in southern California, and he said that he thought they were coming back in a month and a half. That is great news for us sunny warm fans (sorry to rub it in folks in icier parts of the country, but I was born and raised in Alaska, so I have a right to be happy about it!). The bad news is that he didn't know where they were playing. The Caroline page on the web has out-of-date tour schedule info on the band. Does anyone have current info to post?? Thanks

well, picked up three cd's this weekend and they are all excellent:

• 1 - broke down and bought BFF. what an album... get's my vote for "feel-good" album of the year!!! i think it's very joe jackson-ish, but happier...
• 2 - francis dunnery. after hearing the mtn stage, i had to get it. well worth 11.99
• 3 - another michigan band... frank allison & odd socks (recorded live at the blind pig in ann arbor)... true 'guy-rock'...

John: Thanks for the link URLs. I've added them to the "reviews" page. The ATN link has some sound clips, too. A word of warning: don't try the "festival" link to "Where are these bands playing" or whatever it is, if you're using Lynx: it will probably overflow the cache and crash Lynx. And besides, the festival was last summer so the information's outdated anyway! The review is good, though.
