Reading the Feb. edition of Indie File, a free Charlotte-based publication,
and the BF5 are the featured artists in an ad for what's happening at
Reflections Studios. The ad reads:
"Ben Folds Five of Chapel Hill recorded songs for two upcoming film
soundtracks. The film The Truth about Cats and Dogs features a song called
"The Dumped." And the second song which was a version of "Retarded" is in
the movie Mr. Wrong and will be released on A&M Records. Both of these songs
were recorded in Studio C with engineer Tracey Schroeder and mixed on the
Neve V-III with Flying Faders automation in Studio A. The tracks were
produced by Ben Folds and the band."
While completely mixed up, any confirmations -- or should I say
'truth' -- about The Truth contribution?

We got what we wanted, folks! Something to look forward to... a show in
DC on March 26th.
Burning question: On the disk between tracks #2 and #3, there is some
gibberish about "cut that bitch off" and then there is something that
resembles either a belch or a low growl. Which is it, and who did it??

Just a note: When Ben Folds Five plays Tremont Music Hall in Charlotte,
NC on 29 March, they'll be with Geezer Lake, from Greenboro, NC.
I need not mention how great BF5 is, but Geezer Lake is amazing
in their own right. The show is going to rule. I encourage anyone
within driving distance to not miss this one.
Note part two: Eric from Geezer Lake owns D-tox Records, home of
the first BF5 single.

hey folks. My name is Ben. Nope not Ben Folds. But Ben all the same. I
would just like to add that one of the only reasons that I got the cd was
because it was ben folds five, i thought, whoa! ben. it must be cool. i
listened to the first couple seconds of the first couple tracks in the
store, and I was hooked. Holy Moley.
I've been telling everyone about them, and everyone who has heard them has
told me they want the cd. they were in Minneapolis about a month ago, but I
heard about the concert the day it was held, and it was sold out besides.
I was tempted to go to Mr. Wrong just to hear that song.
This rules.
ok.
Ben.
