Subject: How to play Jackson Cannery

 >> I sat down the other day and listened to Jackson Cannery. I read here
that he had written the song on the guitar first, so I figured most of it
out. the first part is easy: C-D-E-G

Okay, I had wanted to keep this a secret until I came out with my complete
parody of the CD, but what the hell, here's some help. The chords are
actually more textured than just C-D-E-G, they're C7/add9-D7-E7-G7, then
D-F#7-G-E. The "Did Mother Nature" part is A-G6-C7/add9-D-G-D-E. There's
more, but I'm rushing out the door.

I promise to write more about how to play AFTER I finish my project, so
please help me out by not distracting me until then. :-)

 Subject: Jackson Cannery guitaristics (BFF)

With due respect to the original poster, Schmooze1@aol.com, the first
 chord is not C, but C minor 7 (c7).

I tried it on my acoustic and wondered why my voice kept wanting to go minor.

Same Here - 1st Jackson Cannery, then Philosophy, then Best Imitation, then
 Underground, and now Boxing

Not Here - There was a used copy of Spilt Milk @ the Disc-Go-Round + I
sampled it in the listening station...I just don't get the connection
between the two, except that Jellyfish reminded me of Queen a little bit +
I've heard people try to slam on BF5 by saying that they sound like Queen
(which isn't an insult at all). By the way, I saw Imperial Drag @ Summerfest
in Milwaukee + they were Great.

we know that some people in this group have live recordings of the band.
but the majority of us are constantly looking. so, here's my idea: would
any of you that do have a live show be willing to use it for tape tree
 purposes?
that way, we could all be happy and all have at least one copy of a
 wonderful show.

[The questions have been e-mailed off to Chuck and Ben. We should have
some responses by later this week, and I'll post them in a special issue.
