Well, I love this mailing list heaps... It's small, it's full of good
stuff to read and I must say it's the BEST!!! So, in my mind, there's no
real point in changing!!! And them newsgroup thingos are a pain to use I
think... I'd rather have this baby delivered to my door every couple of
days... And some people only have email access and that's it... so... yah.
I'm against that newsgroup thing. :)

Regarding Bens remark about the Cardigans in Mojo magazine; I agree with
him completely. It's nice to hear that Ben likes the Cardies too. They
 have three albums out over here in Europe;
Emmerdale, Life and First band on the moon and all three are worth
 checking out.
My suggestion is that you start with "Life".

 Yes.
We will be at the Sound Factory in Charlotte, NC.
This will be our last 'public show', from now on we will just play
occasional private shows and we will also be working on a new project
called 'Snuzz'. Keep an eye out.
Just so this will relate to BF5-
We played an x-mas show in Greensboro and Millard Powers sat in with us
on and old song Ben wrote called 'Clueless'. Millard was the guitar
player and right hand man in Ben's old band Majosha. It was fun.

 Topic 2 of 4-
As in "Big Brother got the keys, and I got Francis Dunnery"?

Also, the newsgroup. Frankly(no pun intended), FRank does a great job,
and the list will be forever free of "MAKE MONEY FAST!!!" and "TRIPLE
XXX TALK NOW!!!" which regularly ruins some or most other groups I try to
 read on usenet.
As long as Frank is willing to serve up the armchair in beautiful
bit-size packages, I'd prefer to stick with the list.

 Hi,

I've gotten a pile of mail about the Superdrag mis-quote that was in a
message I sent here. So I'm gonna clear it all up now.

I wanted to use the first line of the song, which I had heard on MTV twice,
but I didn't know the lyrics well enough to write them down. So I went to
look for them on the web. I found the infamous mis-quote and thought that
it was funny (I'm a mountain-biker, so the roadie joke was perfect for me).
However, I didn't intend to send the joke sig to the BFF list; only on
 messages to friends.

Anyway, I've since found the right lyrics (which are equally good to the
joke and have some meaning to me as well), and put them in.

Thanks to everyone who saw fit to correct me. I've learned my lesson:
 double-check before you send . . . :P

 TTFN!
 Dylan

Where'd you go, now that everybody knows that we did a couple shows out
there? Look at me. I can write a melody, but I can't expect a soul to care.

Subject: another 5* magazine review. "3 into 5 will go"

in england there is this paper called the mail on sunday. it's kind of a
classy tabloid? and in the colour (color to all you yanks) supplement
called night and day there is a review of the bff album. a little late
but they gave it five stars!

the reviewer (giles smith) says it's the most exicting thing he heard
this year after the news that micheal jackson's nurse was up the spout!
the review compares them to the beatles, the beach boys and of course
todd rundgren and congratulates the boys on their use of sonic space
(fuzz bass, strings, drum fills and ben's energetic style).

at the end of the review there is a paragraph detailing the sleeve,
saying that it is blurred and hastily enlivened with some crayons, it
says it has bad handwriting. smith then goes on to comment how the sleeve
'promises nothing so much as 40 minutes of guitar-heavy garbage thrown
together in hurry by some incompetant garage band, either from seattle
 or ipswich.'

the last sentence begs the reader to spend the record tockens they got 4
xmas on the album. all this comes from a mainstream, tabloid which the
middle classes read! could this mean that 1997 will see the five go
mainstream? as they have already signed to a major we can only wait...

 alex.
