     * DO NOT send unsubscribe requests to the posting address!!
       Send all administrative requests to
            armchair-request@maillist.il.ft.hse.nl
     * Change the subject of your reply to something pertaining to your
message (not "Magical Armchair Digest, Volume X, Issue #nnn").
     * Keep your posts short. Remember, you are writing to over a thousand
people. Long posts tend to ramble. Reread your message before
       sending it!
     * DON'T quote excessively, OR QUOTE THE ENTIRE DIGEST, when
replying. Edit your quote to only the line or lines you are
replying to. Remember, unlike Usenet, everyone's already seen the
       original message.
     * Please keep non-Ben Folds Five content to a minimum. Members who
chronically post off-topic messages may be unsubscribed. This
includes chain letters, virus warnings, etc. Also, refrain from
posting a message that basically says "me too" or answers a
question that has already been answered unless you have more
details. Messages of a moderating nature are off-topic; the moderator
will handle this behind the scenes.
     * Before posting questions of a general nature (e.g., "Anyone have
tour dates?" or "What are the words to Underground?"), check the
       Web resources available.

Subject: for fivers going to Tokyo shows

I've posted a message asking who are September 67, the opening act
('the guest' is what they called) at Tokyo shows from tomorrow.
I bumped into a site about them so check it out if you're interested...

Wait for tomorrow's setlist....

If any of you have taped BFF in concert using DAT tapes, and you still
have that tape, please email me off the list.

For those of you looking for BFF bootleg tapes, I have a few, and I'd be
happy to trade if you are interetsed.

Thanks,

Alex

Subject: HELP ME!!!

First and foremost, How in the world can I take tthe Armchair address
out of my address book? It seems like it gets re-entered each time I
recieve an issue... which we all know, happens abot a zillion times a
day :) I can't figure out how to make this chaos stop. Please,
someone, help me.

Next order of business... I was given a photo pass by the band (thanks
to Doug Goodman-Tour Manager Extrordinare) allowing me to sit in the VIP
section of the club for BF5 in Cleveland, Ohio. What this means is I now
have a number of WONDERFUL photos (both Black & White, and Color) of Ben
& da' Boys playin' their goofy, little hearts out.
What does this mean for you, oh fellow Fiver, Bennie, Armchair Member,
etc.? Well... being that I have full access to darkroom facilities, I
figured I would try to repair some of the damage done by my unexcusable
chain mails by offering you lovely people copies of the afore mentioned
photographs. Please eMail me personally: mccall@frognet.net for more
info. if you are interested. I hope this will, at least somewhat,
make-up for my past sins of posting.

Hey all...

I hate to clog the MA, but I just wanted to defend my other favorite
band, the Barenaked Ladies. I personally think that they put on an
amazing live show. Some of their one hour, smooshed in the middle of a
festival shows aren't as great, I know. But I've seen them 9 times (have
tickets for a tenth) and would recommend checking them out, in album or
live form, to anyone. Every random person I've ever dragged to a concert
has walked away a fan. I could go on, but I won't. (You're welcome! ;)
Anyway, if you have any interest in them, please don't be deterred by what
Sandi posted!

Thanks for reading!
Next time, BFF content, for sure!

hey, michael, i always thought it a bit weird that you dreamt about bff all
the time, but that was before i had my crazy dream about them. somehow, they
had come back to kc, and i had back stage passes. back stage was a zoo
because nobody could find out where the guys were. i walked around for about
an hour looking for them, and then i found them, in an rv, by this lake. i
knocked on the back of it and darren and robert motioned for me to come in.
ben was on the phone doing an interview with some radio station. well, i was
just about to go in when i woke up. that was sad. not a very exciting dream,
but a dream none-the-less. anyone care to analyze it? :)

hehe..i was just thinking about the five..the five that ben
folds..he's pretty good at that you know..folding..:) anyway, i was
just thinking that what if, say ben folds was the fifth generation person in
his family named ben? i mean like, he's ben folds V, his father was ben
folds IV, his father was ben folds III...pretty stupid i know, but its
kinda amusing, and if bff happens to read this particular edition of the
armchair, he'll find something new to tell the interviewers who ask,
"why is it ben folds five instead of ben folds three?" :D
umm..also..something else..what is ben singing in the japanese
"song for the dumped" and what is it really supposed to be? like,
someone said he's singing 'kane o kaese' and it's supposed to be 'kane o
kaete' or vice versa..i just wanna get cleared up on that =)
to people i owe tapes to: i'm gonna get em out in the mail this
weekend. i have to get my paycheck tomorrow and go buy tapes..
