Someone asked about BF5 playing at Bogarts...Yes, on the official page it
says they're playing Pittsburgh on June 2nd, but that date has been
changed to June 1st, and the Bogarts show has been sceduled for June 2nd.
They have yet to update the dates on the official page...but I called
for my Pittsburgh tickets last week and they confirmed that Pittsburgh IS
on June 1st...I haven't gotten Bogarts (Cincinnati) tickets yet...anybody
know how much they are?

while perusing my armchairs, I was shocked to see that no one had mentioned
(or perhaps none of you know) that BFF will be on Saturday Night Live this
Saturday!
I have recieved this information from a hopefully reliable source, the only
other BFF fan i know, who says she was watching SNL last week and at the end
they announced that BFF was going to be on. I hope she heard correctly and
i'm not lying to you all. but, in the chance that she's right, I'll be
watching Saturday and I hope all other listies will.

hey bffers---
i just bought tickets the other day to the show at the 9:30 Club in D.C. if
anyone else on the Armchair is going....email me privately (don't waste
Armchair space) and we could meet before the show and hang out. i know many
other Armchair members do this...so lets keep the tradition up.
also......why do we need a name? no one will ever stop bickering over a
name for us....lets just call ourselves what anyone wants to call ourselves
and not make it one general thing we refer to ourselves as. just my opinion
and anyways.....
catch ya'll in D.C.---

As far as BFF coming to Cincinnati, Bogart's email event update and
eventline said that they were coming June 2nd. Their homepage doesn't
say anything, but it's not very up to date. If I here anything else,
I'll report back.

My vote for the Name is
The Philosophers.
Kinda plain but it comes from my FAVE song. So if some one could add a
little something to it.......
And if you don't like it:
Go ahead, you can laugh all you want!

I'm almost positive that the instrument is a zither (or an autoharp.) It's
got a lot of strings on a board, and you push down buttopns for the chords
you want to play, and strum it with a pick. Kind of an interesting
instrument.

Why do we need a name for ourselves?
Well I'll tell you, my friends! Because at the shows we can easily identify each
other, and have interesting conversations about the armchair.
Example: "So what do you think about the armchair?"
"It's swell. I am a happy person when I read the armchair. Well, except
for those issues where they quote the whole digest, or when they unsubsribe, or
when they complain about people who complain about people who complain, or when
they want to find out what Brick means. Other than that, it's the keenest thing
since blueberry pancakes!"
"Indeed it is my friend! Although I really like blueberry pancakes.
Especially with maple syrup."
See you too can have interesting conversations like these if you are identified
as a member of the armchair. Of course, awkward conversations can be fun- but at
least you won't have to talk to someone who thinks BFF are the next Billy Joel®
(note the ®, Billy Joel®'s name has all rights reserved).
And for all of you wonderful people who don't want to be called the angry dwarfs
or the solemn faces- for God's sake look at the trio we all love and appreciate,
yes this trio under the moniker Ben Folds FIVE.

ps. (send this to 5 people and eternal happiness will be yours. just kidding.)

Hello to the Magical Armchair. I think we're starting to become a rocking
chair. Ok, that so called washboard effect has got to be crickets. It makes
perfect sence. The song seems to have a night time setting, and here in the
south crickets are very noisy in the summer . i think that also makes semce
to have the song in the summer, but that's just me. But, listen to it again,
and se if it sounds like crickets. Also why do we need a name to distinguish
ourselves? Isn't "Magical Armchair" written on a poster good enough? Oh,
well.
