No, I'm not going to list the set, because I wasn't writing it down. Two
friends and I arrived during the last song of the opening group (Pharo
Saunders?), and waited a mere 20 minutes for BF5 to set up. The strings
(yes, there were 4 of them) opened the show by playing a medley of their
songs, then the three guys came on stage and started banging away. The crowd
behind the first few rows wasn't too interested, though, and didn't have the
energy the one in the Irving Plaza show did (also in NYC); they were to
preoccupied with standing in line for drinks, standing in line for food,
standing in line to pee, etc.

I liked the string section for some songs, and didn't care for it in others.
Ben mentioned he hasn't been nervous during a gig in a long while, and maybe
it was because it's the first time he's played with strings live. Otherwise,
he performed well, but with most of the crowd just milling about, I don't
think he was able to draw off much energy from them. They played for just
about an hour, maybe a little more, and didn't do anything that isn't on the
2 CD's except for "Theme from Dr. Pyser" - no "Ultimate Sacrifice", "Satan Is
My Master", or "Video Killed The Radio Star". Not even "Battle..."!!! I was
a little disappointed in that omission. But the concert as a whole was
pretty good. Not as good as Irving Plaza, but the second show in what I hope
is a long string of attendences for me.

It's me, Dave. I just saw the new issue of NUVO. I'd like to say great
job to all of you who got stuff published. Those are some well-written
words. Ben would be proud.

If you haven't already, turn to page 39, and look for the words BEN
FOLDS FIVE in bold print, and read what it says. I'M FAMOUS!!! I'm on
my way to fame and fortune! Well, maybe that's a bit overzealous, but
they did mention me, though not by name. I sent them an e-mail telling
them who I am and everything. Oh well.

You know, the writer couldn't even get his facts straight THIS time. He
said I posted the article on "the Ben Folds fan club web page or
something". What a f***ing moron! Just for that, I'm going to vow that
whenever he gets his facts wrong, I'm going to let him know. They're
going to hate me! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

"I think the really sad thing about animals is the fact that they don't
have highly developed brains like we do, so they can never have deep,
intellectual thoughts like, 'I'm going to kill this other animal just
because he's different from me.' Wait a minute..." --Me
