I don't know what happened, except that the program that automatically
generates the digest every day may have stopped running. As you can see,
all the messages got spooled and remailed. Until the problem is found and
fixed, I will manually issue the digest periodically.

Elizabeth & Adrian wrote about "pogo-ing":

"...In Robert's defense, he plays in front of thousands of audiences where
everyone is pogo-ing and it doesn't upset him..."

Pardon my dweebie-ness while I ask, what is pogo-ing? Does it involve a pogo
stick? Sometimes us baby boomers need you Gen X-ers to define a term. Thanks

Ok, I know you are probably all getting sick of reading my plea's for
tickets, but I thought I would try one last time....
I am now desperate...due to events out of my control, I ended up ticketless
for the HORDE festival in Michigan. I am crushed and seeing as how the
concert is on the 27th, I know that time is running out....so I am begging on
my hands and knees, if anyone has any extra tickets...or knows anyone who
does, please, please, please, PLEASE e mail me. I would be forever in your
debt....
I thought I would contribute to the "you know you are obsessed when..."
 discussion.
*You know you are obsessed when you wake up with cold sweats, screaming "I'VE
GOTTA GET HORDE FEST TICKETS!!!!!"
Thanks,

i called 1-888-benfolds5 concerning the t-shirts that we (me and
the guy who wrote into the list saying he waited four months) haven't
gotten yet, and the woman i spoke to told me someone had to enter orders
in or something and to try back tomorrow and they can track my order..so
i advise anyone who's waiting ever so impatiently (me, i guess) :D for a
shirt to call tomorrow and find out whats going on. i mean, one month
is peanuts compared to four months but i really want my shirt :) oh,
well. so there you go.

but lets see if this goes through.

>day I was driving in my car listening to them and I got to thinking...if
>BFF had never existed, would I have found another ban d that I liked as
>much...do you all think you would have?

i probably would have but it would be few and far between. i was
totally completely into soundgarden for five years, and while i still
love 'em, they're not absolutely #1 on my list any more, BFF is..it
might have something to do with sg breaking up, but i don't think
so..because i wasn't listening to sg that much when they broke up..i was
listening to a lot of BFF..and then i started to get into them even
more, like planning trips to NYC to see them play and stuff..i dunno.

also, when soundgarden broke up, i got really scared, and i don't
know if you're wondering why or not, but it's like this: ben folds five,
soundgarden and jawbox are my three favorite bands. soundgarden broke
up and then i found out jawbox broke up. that scares me..when i run
into ben or robert or darren at a show i just wanna say to them, "don't
break up, ok?" :) i don't have anything to worry about though, i get
the idea that they're gonna be around for a looong time. GOOD :)

and as forthat ben folds five live cd..i dunno. september 1 is a
monday and don't new cds come out on tuesday? either somone's jerking
our chains (which would REALLY cheese me off) or..i dunno..i think ben
would know the release date..but dammit, new cds come out on tuesday :)
they always come out on tuesday :)

Subject: H.O.R.D.E. on Thursday!

With the "delays" in the Armchair recently, I don't know WHEN this post will
be seen. But regardless...

I was lucky enough to win H.O.R.D.E. tix (on the internet, of all things!)
for this Thursday at Irvine Meadows!! =) It was my last ditch effort to go,
being the poor broke soul I am. And I won! The "seats" really suck, because
they're up in the lawn section, but luckily Ben and boys are on the second
stage, as well as Morphine. Woo hoo! Too bad Squirrel Nut Zippers and
Primus are on the main stage.... they'll be tiny dots when viewed from the
lawn!

So me, the dork who's been a fan for so long but never got around to seeing
BFF, will finally get to do so! =) I know they play for about 30 minutes
with a string orchestra backing them up, supposedly. To those that have seen
them at H.O.R.D.E. already: what songs have they been playing? Have crowds
been responsive?? Just super curious! =)

H.O.R.D.E. on Thursday!
Nerf Herder on Saturday!
Weezer on Sunday!
