yeah, it is...that riff, and a lot of the piano for the song are from
Gershwin's
Rhapsody in Blue. You can find that referenced in one of his
intervies(sorry i
cant remember where i saw it) but it was also the american airlines
theme for a
while....anyway the answer is Yes...and it is amazing how well it goes
with the
song!!!

first, let me point out that The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are in no
way an overnight success. Let's Face It is their third LP, not to mention
the numerous EP CD's out.
I can't decide on the better BFF disc, because I see them as having
parallel structures--serious countered by insane, fast tunes softened by
the slow numbers mixed in. They really mix up the speeds and lyrical
content, moreso on the 2nd, but on the 1st album, too.

Subject: Ben and the boys Off-Bway
Hey all,
I don't have an answer regarding the question about ben performing
off-Bway, but I did want to report a recent BFF sighting (er...listening,
whatever). I went to see the fun Off-Bway show _As Bees in Honey Drown_
and was pleased to hear an excellent sound design that included "Fair" and
the tail end of "Song for the Dumped" in the pre-show music and "Kate" in
the post-show. The songs were a perfect choice for the show, matching its
content and style.
Anyway, that's all for now. Sorry, I neglected to bring charcoal
for the Pearl Jam fire.
