BEN FOLDS FIVE'S NAKED BABY PHOTOS UNEARTHED
The Ben Folds Five rarities, previously unreleased, and live compilation
that we told you about (allstar, Oct. 1) is finally taking shape. The album
is
titled Naked Baby Photos and is slated for a Jan. 13 release on Caroline
Records.
The 16-track album will include eight live- in- the- studio recordings,
five
of which are previously unreleased: "Eddie Walker," "Emaline," "Dick
Holster,"
"Tom and Mary," and "For Those of Ya'll Who Wear Fanny Packs." The three
remaining studio tracks are rare versions of the previously released songs
"Jackson Cannery," "Alice Childress," and "Bad Idea."
The last eight tracks are live recordings, three of which are unavailable
as
studio versions -- "The Ultimate Sacrifice," "Satan Is My Master," and the
Built to Spill cover of "Twin Falls." The other five live tracks of
previously
released material are "Underground," "Julianne," "Song for the Dumped,"
"Philosophy," and "Boxing."

So the way this is sounding to me is like it has a lot of stuff on it that
I already have because I have the singles. I'll buy it, of course, if only
for the greatness of the artwork that I'm anticipating. And I really want
"Eddie Walker" and "The Ultimate Sacrifice." I'll think of it as
consolidating all the singles I have, I guess.
I guess the exclusion of "Dr Pyser" implies that it will be on the next CD.
Cool. Dr Pyser, as far as I'm concerned, is the woman.
