Just a little bored at the moment. . . :-)
Anyway, an answer to that 'stuck in a small place with a BFF
member'thing, I would no doubt LOVE to be stuck with Darren :-) :-)
And, the thing about Bill Berry leaving REM, I was distraught to find
that out the day it was announced to the public. Anyway, REM will still
carry on, thank God :-)
Anyway, enough rambling (for now), see ya all later
Oh, and more one thing, someone wanted to know if anyone caught BFF on
JJJ Live at the Wireless, well, I did, and it was just a repeat of their
Recovery gig. . .
Later,
Kel.

Oh, can anyone imagine the rapture I felt when, upon reading the list of
songs for Naked Baby Photos, I discovered a familiar looking date among the
live songs?? I was there at Lupo's for the Ultimate Sacrifice, when Ben
proudly leapt to the top of his piano, began rapping like Snoop Doggy Dogg,
and then dropped his pants to the delight of the whole crowd!! I danced
around my computer for several happy moments, just delighted to be part of a
beautiful BFF moment. And then I sat down, out of breath and composed myself.
It's been a good day. Sessions at West 54th, (which was WAY too short for my
liking... I wanted to see more Ben!!), and now this. I will sleep well
tonight. Goodnight, y'all!!

I just finished watching the boys on "Sessions", and they rocked!!! It's just
too bad that they didn't give them more air time, and gotten rid of that
little freak Beck. Oh well, I guess beggars can't be choosers.

to pass this way.

Thanks and all that jazz. I used it ages ago and hated it coz with more
than one person, it gets confusing with lag and all that... But now it;s
cool, coz I only chat with one person at a time... well, so far anyway.

Hey, how's it goin?

Well after a two days of running tab at our debate tournament, I'm back.
And as I sat here at my computer shifting through my South Park and
Armchair mail I came across a message from Skip Allums, talking about
covers they do.

> here's some more BFF covers...
> -Leather by Tori Amos
> -Revolution or Get Back by the beatles
> -Mr. Spaceman by The Byrds
> -Verdi Cries by 10,000 Maniacs

Does anyone have a decent copy of these songs on tape? I'd love to get a
copy of these. Especially the Amos song. Oh, and while I'm posting I should
tell Greg that I'm really sorry about the previous tape mix-up, but don't
worry, I have not forgotten. You will have those blank tapes soon. I lost
your address, but while digging through my notes for my history class I
found it! Your tapes will be to you soon. Thanks for being pacient.

Anyway, if someone is interrested in trading me, I have several of the
b-side songs and I also have Sessions on tape. Lemme know!

Well, it seems that I will be sending my Unsubscribe message to the
server shortly. Not that I'll be missed, but I just thought I'd
advertise why. I love the boys, they're a kick a$$ band, and I love the
awesome concert reviews and insights that are only available on the
armchair, but I just can't stand reading 15-20 armchairs each week that
are full of all this other junk. I mean, there's just so many pointless
arguments that never end. Oh well, maybe one day I'll resubscribe, I'm
sure I won't be missed, but that's not the point. Yes, the armchair is
more than just news and insights, it's about friends and a shared
obsession for Ben Folds Five. But the arguments have got to go. If you
feel resentment towards this post, than I understand, just take a few
deep breaths and e-mail all your non-bff related responses to the list
so that everybody's mailboxes will fill up with 3-4 armchairs full of
junk per day. Maybe some people like that, but I don't have time for
it. Anyway, if you MUST argue, than e-mail a person directly, that way
the argument doesn't have any way of getting re-exposed, and re-argued.
Maybe this mail "armchair-suicide" thing was overdoing it, but I hope I
drilled a point home for those of you still on the list.

Thanks for listening to my death-wish

This is a really odd coincidance, but I just picked up the Amateur Lovers
CD last week from the station I work at. I really like it. I was pleased
to find an interview on the internet that said they were touring with BFF.
The Amateur Lovers are on Loosegroove records. In case you didn't know,
that's Stone Gossard's (Pearl Jam) record label. I wrote email to the label
to see if that same tour would be coming to the states. Hopefully yes. I
would reccomend picking up their CD, "Virgin White Lies." The subject
matter of the lyrics is pretty amusing, and they too were influenced by
Billy Joel.

Just to let everyone know my frustration, I sat through an hour of pledge

Midnight, only to see the beginning of "Midnight Movies from around Puget

the least they could do was play a little BFF.... (Plus I had to sit
through the glass blowing which was torture enough....)

hey guys, hows it hangin'? (metaphorically speaking)
I find myself once more championing the rights of the UK armchair subscribers over this whole Naked
Baby Photos release thing... Most of the posts I've read have been complaints that there is nothing
new on it and all the writers have got the songs on bootleg already. Well whoopy-fucking-do for you
but please bear in mind that not everybody can get hold of bootleg recordings. The boys haven't
been in the UK for almost a year now so I've never heard Theme From Dr Pyser or Emaline or Ultimate
Sacrifice etc and what does exist on bootleg over here isn't much. I'm just glad that a new album
is coming out and that I'll get to hear all the songs that have been discussed on the armchair for
months. I know this is how alot of people not only in the UK but other countries feel, so all of
you please stop being so ungrateful. Surely you'd rather have a release than no release? Sorry to
jump down everyone's throats... I'm not this defensive in real life...
By the way, why is it being released on Caroline when the boys are now signed to Sony?

Thats all folks!

I went to the Westminster show -killer!!! There were only like 150
people there, and the Down Under (the juice bar where the show was held)
was like someone's finished basement, complete with ferns and bad poster
art). Very cool. The guys goofed alot putting on hick voices to
celbrate their arrival in Western Pennsylvania and played "Ring of
Fire", "Take This Job and Shove It" and "Your Cheatin' Heart" (at which
point a drunk Sigma Nu turned to me and said "Dude, they are playing
sooo much new stuff." umm-hmmm) The played an encore of a Liz Phair
song (I forget which one, it's from the Supernova album) dealt with the
drunk hecklers with panache, and basically I had a really good time. I
was supposed to go to the Cleveland show, but I was feeling sick (not to
mention the fact that everyone on the list who said, "email me for
directions", never emailed me back. Thanks, guys.) so I blew it off,
thinking that I could weasel my way into the Westminster show (I'm not a
student, but called the activity board president and plead my case.
Apparently, they hwere ony able to give away 175 out of 350 tickets)all
in all, I'm glad I went there instead of Lakewood (although from your
descriptions, the show sounded killer.)

well, i saw the boys on my local pbs station last night and it just made a
sucky night of staying in worth it. did anyone else have the screen freeze
up every so often (not that that was bad since it froze up right on their
beautiful faces) or was it just my local pbs station's mistake? what else
to say? oh! i'm going to be in a local movie and it's about a jewish
klezmer (sp?) band. isn't that the instrument that ben plays on smoke or
some other song? i know, i'm really retarded for not remembering this, but
i remember hearing something years ago (okay, maybe not that long ago)
about a klezmer in relation to ben folds five.... oh, and also while i was
being an extra in this film, the director said to me, "what would you do
if your favorite star, who is that by the way?" and i of course said ben
folds five, and he said, what would you do if ben folds were to come up to
you and start talking to you. i was just so impressed that he knew (i'm
assuming) that ben folds is the name of one of the members of ben folds
five. and i think that's all i have to babble about today. ten days till i
get to see my boys again!

show! They performed Angry Dwarf, Brick, Underground, Smoke, and the best
version of Missing the War that I've heard so far. By the way, caught them
at the HORDE Tour, front row center, standing all the way. Got to meet all
three of them briefly after the show as they autographed cover of Whatever.
Even found out that Ben shares my enthusiasm for Loudon Wainwright III ( who
you should check out also). Catch you all later.
