WHY NO ARMCHAIRS?
There were no Magical Armchair digests sent on Thursday or Friday,
Nov. 13 and 14 (Wednesday and Thursday evenings in the Americas) because
of a problem associated with an upgrade to the mail handler at
il.fontys.nl. As a result, anything sent since Wednesday afternoon
sometime probably didn't get through. If you posted something and don't
see it in this issue, try resending it. If you tried to unsubscribe but
you're still getting this, try again.

EVERYBODY HATES RAYMOND
The multiple copies of issue #462 that have appeared in recent
digests have come from one particular user who may
or may not know what he is doing. I have tried contacting him several
times (it's happened before) but never received a response, so he has
been removed from the list. Thanks everyone for being patient and for
not posting complaints to the list.

Just to let all you interested-in-the-sweet-BFF-video people that have
already mailed me:

I've gotten together and printwed all your mail(and some tape lists) so
that i can go over them all at one time (as to not "order" duplicates!!)
and i won't be back till monday. Then, i'll have a list of who gets what
for what and when. I guess the best way to do this is a list of who gets it
in order.

Hey Folks,
I got a couple new things for trade:

1. I have one extra copy of "Whatever and Amen, A Video Portrait". Its a
promo only video that came out about the same as the last record. Its about
15 minutes of the boys acting silly and it also has the Battle of Who could
Care Less video on the end. Its pretty great, and hard to come across. I only
have one spare copy...So I'm gonna trade it to the best offer. (I'm thinking
I'd like to get a few bootleg tapes for this one) Anyone who traded for the
B-sides comp I put together (all 14 of you) the audio dialog at the end of
the tape is from the video.

2. I have access to about 5 copies of the "Mix Tapes a Masterpiece" Promo Cd.
Its a 6 song sampler from WEAEA. All the tracks are from the record, so this
is really for the very serious collecter. Again, this is a promo only
thing...so its hard to come by. I have to pay five dollars a piece for them
at my work, So Id like to get like 2 tapes for one. again, I'll trade to the
best five offers/

3. I still have my homemade singles comp for trade. Its about 22 songs that
arent on the records. Its all the singles, soundtrack cuts, and a couple of
other songs. Plus its got a nifty cover. Its good for all you who cant find
the singles. I'll trade it to anyone who has something to trade in return
thats fun (BF5 related, of course)

4. I have some live tapes as well, Email me for a list.

I wont sell any of these things! Its against the law, and I would never do
that to my super heros...Ben Folds Five....trade only.

Sorry to take up so much space.

I hope to trade with a bunch of you...lets all spread the joy of Ben Folds
Five!

Send trade offers to: MeandMrRay@Aol.com

Thanks, and um... keep on rockin!

Greg.

to the guy who asked about the song at the end of philosophy- its
definately rhapsody in blue- gershwin- which is an incredible song- ive
been conquering it- or trying anyway- for the last month- its quite
something to memorize too, im hoping peice by peice it'll fall into
place- its almost 20min long. i just love the way at the end of the part
where he steals that melody he does the octave progression all the way to
the end. i guess that kind of thing (speaking of the octave progression)
isnt to hard to write, but it just seems to be the perfect thing for that
part of the song

that solo in one angry dwarf though!!! not to discount philosophy, it's
still my fav bff song out of faithfullness, but damn!! seems as though
that would be much harder to write- oh, i cant explain the part im
talking about specifically- the part right before the end of the solo-
well, not including the octave thing with "you'll be sorry one day" wow-
if ANYONE has actually figured that solo out-i would worship you forever.
its on the launch cd, which i have, but its a task im scared to tackle

college radio rocks- i heard "for all the pretty people" and another of
those b-sides (dont kill me cause i dont know- i knew when i heard it
cause he said the title some at the end- i feel so small!) but i just
thought i'd tell the world that- it is 88.1, who gave them there first
ever interview- aw yeah, but i was still WAY impressed
