BFF Supper Club Tree Structure

Complete instructions have been emailed to all members of this
tree. If you are *on* the tree listed below, and did not receive
instructions, let me know. I have structured this as geographically
close as possible to assist in the swift completion of the tree. All
blank senders should receive back the blank that they originally sent
to the DAT person when the branch is finished.

Anyone who signed up and is not on this structure sent me either an
incomplete address, an incorrectly formatted signup, incomplete
information, or signed up after the 40 limit was reached. I received
approximately 10 faulty signups, and continue to receive signups
after the announcement of the 40 limit.

Subject: 12 Angry Viewers

I naturally expected Brick to be on this show considering they put all the
new ones on it. I didn't know what day, and since the people on the show are
dicks, I figured Brick would never make it to Friday anyway. I haven't seen
the video. I know it's good already. Nothing BFF had ever made has
disappointed me in the least.

I need to complain. I decided to give 12 Angry Viewers a shot, after all,
MTV was FINALLY playing videos (although only 3 for 30 min.) and they were
new. So what the hell, you know? Well, they played this TERRIFIC video by
Death in Vegas, I think it was Dirt. THe song I didn't like very much, but
the video was so great. They hated it, of course. Plus the "jury" didn't
have ANYTHING intelligent to say. All they could say about it was that "it
sucked" or "awesome" which shows how stupid it is.

I knew they wouldn't get Brick. IT TAKES SOME THOUGHT!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course
they wouldn't like it, it's a beautiful song with great lyrics and
accompanyment (sp). They liked this terrible rap video, and now they play it
all the time. AT this time, I would like to quote Kyle from South Park. "YOU
BASTARDS!!!!!" Did I prove my point? The JURY WAS IGNORANT.

Lately, I have been having dreams about killing people, and have been getting
psychic readings. Can you tell?

VERY UPSET ABOUT M MY GEOMETRY GRADE,
Lucy

Subject: Girshwin and Bouncers

First off, I love the connection that someone made between Girshin and
BF5. I think I was the first one on the list to name Girshwin as
classical, but I will admit that that isn't the best representation of
his music. Officially, he is labled "Modern" Classical, which for most
people who study music means that it is a loosely labled version of
classical. Girshwin definitely falls under many music styles, and at the
same time none of them. Definitely a connection there with BF5. I don't
know about you guys, but I generally tell people that they are kind of
"Alternative with jazz influence" and then tell them that it's a piano,
bass and drums with three part vocal harmonies just to emphasize that
they are not "normal" for any style of music, which is why they are so cool!!

Secondly, I thought that Doug's post (the tour guy) was really cool. I
went to a Cleveland show last year where we were just about within
touching distance of Ben, and easy throwing distance (a few black shirts
and a few bra's made it up there). But all that I saw of the security
was two guys in black shirts off to the sides of the stage, obviously
watching the crowd more then the band, but they didn't need to do
anything else at all. Now, that's the kind of show where you know the
people there are there to listen to music and watch a band perform, not
tp "mosh" or get drunk. That's because BF5 fans rule!

on the Top 5 at 5:00 for a few weeks now, floating up from number 5 to
number 3.

All me mates have known me to be a BFF fan for a year now, and now I'm
watching them start to like BFF. 'Bout time!

Anyway, it sounded odd to hear "That was Ben Folds Five, number five on the
Top Five at Five". I laughed me bits off.

Ben on the bass? This sounds interesting.

I think it would be great if there was a "Magical Armchair, Junior"
digest -- A list that would strictly contain posts about tour dates, tv
appearances, and bootleg/trading info.

Personally, those are the main reasons why I subscribe to this list. By
all means, people are entitled to their opinions, but sometimes, I just
want the facts.

Is anyone willing to undertake this?

I'm sad that everybody was so uptight about the Crack/gay thing, but you
guys KNOW they weren't being serious, like everybody else so it wasn't
really necessary to respond. Sorry.

ON A LIGHTER NOTE! (how about A?)

- -Annie-what colour spandex shorts?

- -You know about the 'phone ringing in Steven's Last night in town? Well,
why the hell hasn't anybody talked about the dog straight after?

- -Everybody download Eddie Walker, this is your life if you can't get a
copy-the quality's real poor, but it's one of Ben Folds' best.

- -sorry, just couldn't help noticing that Steven's and eddie walker are
both in A! A also features in Underground, in that piano intro! wow.

To all Philly People:

I don't know how many people I have to convince to stop listening to Y-100,
but do it!. The launching pad into the realm of BFF for me was 88.5 WXPN,
University of Penn's commercial-free, publically supproted station. I know
you're thinking "Public radio...ugh", but seriously, give it a try for a
week. The first BFF song I heard was BOWCCL on XPN, they've been playing
"Kate" and "Stephen's Last Night in Town" for who knows how long. PLEASE!
Stop listening to Y-100, plain and simple, they suck eggs.

The line is actually "sell some gifts that I got." I always assumed it was
because it was the day after christmas and he was selling them to a pawn
shop because he needed money...or maybe he just didn't need three salad
shooters.

And, on the topic of all these stoopid rumors, the only thing I have to say
is that the only reason people post this crap is so that everyone will
freak out. And guess what? It worked! There's a lesson here: next time,
just ignore the idiots who say this junk, and it won't happen anymore. Or
at least they won't get the satisfaction of all of us rabid fans going into
a tizzy.

I think it should be a requirement for any band that plays in Philly to
either cover the Hooters or Dead Milkmen at a show. I was looking for a
