Hello All!

Damn I haven't posted to this thing in a LONG time! Guess I just haven't had
anything to say, huh?

But, as for the postal mailing list, it is run by sony, so perhaps you can
sign up at their official sight (what the url is, I don't know off the top of
my head). I just go on by signing up for it while at one of their shows, but
that was quite some time ago, so they may not feel the need to bring a
mailing list for people to sign at shows, anymore!

Hope you all have a happy and safe new year!

Howdy Folks,
First off, Happy New Year to everyone on the list that participates in
the use of the Gregorian Calender. Ok, now I'll get to the point....I'm
looking for more bootlegs. If anyone is iterested in trading, check out my
list at MeandMrRay's
Tape List - Ben Folds Five or if that link doesent work (I'm not sure if
they do on the Armchair) the URL is
http://members.aol.com/meandmrray/benfolds.html
I'm looking for shows I dont have, and also better sounding copies of
some of the lesser quality shows (The shows that are rated between 2.5 - 3 on
my list). If you want to set up a trade, just email me at MeandMrRay@Aol.Com.

Greg.

Hey, having crushes on here isn't that big of a deal. I mean, I've
personally fallen in love with Sandi, Anne, Kara, and of course there's a
big warm fuzzy spot in my heart for Frank. ;) Anyway, I just wanted to
write to let people know that I'm all over calling up Clutch Cargo's and
finding stuff out. Also, if people want some place to meet up in the Ann
Arbor area, I happen to have a very large house that's a perfect crash
pad. Anyway, see you guys around! Hail Eris! ;)

Two burning issues that I am dealing with:

First and foremost, we have literally beat this whole Brick thing to a
pulp. If you don't think it's about abortion, I'll send you a brick and beat
it into your head. ok? :-) Therefore, I believe it is time for a new, more
important, topic to debate. This debate will make us cry, tear us apart
perhaps, but it needs to be straightened out. Perhaps you've never even
considered the tacit controversy that surrounds it. What is it you say? The
formation of Ws for "Whatever". Here in Cleveland (maybe this is a regional
thing), we form the W by making what appears to be two Ls with our thumbs and
pointer fingers, putting them together and raising them high into the air with
our knuckles and fingernails facing ourselves. But, on the t-shirts the W is
different. The kunckles and fingernails face outwards and the hands are
crossed. I find that one more difficult to execute, not to mention awkward.
So, how do you make your W?

Secondly, and less important but still important nonetheless, as I am
completely disenamored with the 12 city tour list (no Cleveland or anywhere
near Cleveland for that matter), I searched the ticketmaster Ohio concert
lists in vain. I didn't find Ben Folds, but I did find Charles Folds...the
Charles Folds Singers to be exact. They will be in Cincinati ( I completely
botched that, sorry) around the time BFF should be (if they were coming to
Ohio) the end of February. So, for all you Ohio fans out there, you can't
have Ben but you can have Charles Folds. Confidential to Chuck: When were you
going to tell us?! :-) Meanwhile, I am trying to figure out how to get to the
DC show on Feb. 22. I'm going to DC with school that week, getting there that
night and would absolutely love to sneak out. I could try for an interview
again and conveniently have to go- doh! WHY ARE THEY DISSING CLEVELAND HARD
CORE? If it is lack of a venue, they can play at my house. That would be
fun.

Here's the address of the ticketmaster site with Charles Folds on it:
        http://events.ticketmaster.com/cgi/events/perfname.idc?searchname=CHAR
LES_FOLD_SINGERS&state=OH

Sorry for writing so much, but you didn't have to read it! And if you did
actually make it to the bottom, you're my hero!

    Emily :-)

ok.. just picked up a copy of the way cool magazine MAXIM. otherwise neat, but
in the back there's a review of Naked Baby Photos.

It reads as follows...

"A notorious live performer, Ben Folds- the punk rock piano man from Chapel
Hill, North Carolina,- raises the art of tickiling (or in his case, criminally
abusing) the ivories to spastic new heights, evoking a coked-up chimpanzee.
Sadly, this album of live tracks, B-Sides and rarities largely fails to
capture the Five's on-stage energy. So, unless you're a die-hard fan, do
yourself a favor and catch this band live instead."

There's also a cool picture of the cover. For those of you who have yet to see
it, it's Ben doing his best vogue while darren and robert do their best to
look jaded.

Whatever. It's not like this thing won't sell a million copies. The
teenyboppers in love with "Brick" will ensure that. Only 10 more days....

Coked-up Chimpanzee,

dave

Heyas Armchairers,

Anthony mentioned something crazy about a new album in March....that's the
first I've heard of it. I heard they're releasing a new one next winter.
Anyone hear anything? Let us know. By the way, Naked Baby Photos comes out on
the 13th, not the tenth.
