Now that many list members are back with us, the volume of posts will
be increasing. This makes it important to stay on topic and keep your
posts concise. Avoid the tendency to ramble, as this increases the
amount of text readers have to wade through. If you want to ramble on,
take it to IRC or the newsgroup.
Also remember to be very selective in your quoting of others'
messages. Don't quote an entire post just to add one or two lines. And
be especially careful not to quote the whole digest!!

Now.....first let me say to everyone....
SHUT THE F*UCK UP ABOUT SAT NITE LIVE!!!!!!! GET OVER IT!
Secondly...I would consider myself a VERY big BFF fan...and a friend of the
boys...so when i say this...dont think its cause i dont know any background
about the band and dont like them...cause i do.....
I would have to agree with Entertainment Weekly when they said "...How could a
band with just two albums and little commercial success possibly merit a
rarities/outtakes album? ..."
I think it would probably do Ben and the Five a greater service to release a
NEW studio album instead of the Rarities/Outtakes album....because
first...they will probably not gain listeners from it....and its always better
to hear the original version of a song before you hear the f*cked up
version....
...ITS NOT THE RIGHT TIME.....BFF is still a small underground band....with
Brick...the most not Ben Folds-y song as their trademark....they should have
established themselves in the music business before they did such a cool
thing.....
....just a thought!

Subject: LA Palace show Feb. 8 and other stuff
Hey, everyone. To those around the LA area, are tix on sale yet for the
palace show yet? I'm asking because last I checked they weren't on sale
through the Ticketmaster web site.
A side note: I'm a frosh at Caltech and when I got my stereo out here I
naturally started listening to BFF and asking others if they had heard of
them. While a few had, nobody really knew their stuff (other than
"Brick," recently) so I started trying to get a ride to the Redondo Beach
show and ended up creating two new listeners because of it. One of them
now has both CDs and is looking forward to getting NBP and the other asked
for WEA for xmas and got it. Both of them and one other person are going
with me to the Palace show.

Naked Baby Photos is so groovy! The Beasty Boys inspired "For those who
Wear.."
is hillarious. Tom and Mary is great...all the unheard songs(unless you've got
the singles) are awesome. I'm so ready to see them live again...Now I find it
hard to believe they have new material coming in March cause they've only had
a year away from the studio. We wouldn't want them to rush it y'know...
I hope ya'll who are gonna get hit by this upcoming tour have fun...since
they're not coming to Atlanta or Nashville I'm screwed...oh well, maybe in the
Summer(?)

Does anyone out there happen to have the 11/09/97 Philadelphia show (at the

Just found out last night on my way home some more info. Not only do tickets
go on sale Friday at 5, but it turns out that our local "modern rock" station
is having this concert as part of thier "birthday weekend". I hope not to
offend anyone, but this means that not only is it going to sell fast and be
crowded, but also there will be lots of radio listeners who do not know who
BFF is. So just a warning.. get your tickets FAST.

Hi.
This is NOT a post about Naked Baby Photos.
(Though it is ace.)
Just wanted to let you guys know that I got my Rolling Stone yesterday
and there's a small article on the guys. It's about a 1/4 of a page so
it's no biggie, but there's a great distorted picture of them. It
basically talks about their upcoming tour.
Also, I don't know if anyone else is a Belle & Sebastian fan, but I
heard that BFF did a short cover of "Fox in the Snow" recently. They
talk about the boys on their mailing list. BFF also gets talked about
on the Dave Matthews Band list and the Weezer list and the Radiohead
list and who knows what other list. Palace show--my friend and I are
hoping for "Judy and the Dream of Horses" :]
