DO NOT REPLY TO OFF-TOPIC OR INSULTING MESSAGES!!!
So many people are complaining about how much space these useless
posts are occupying, without realizing that they are adding to the
problem by quoting or replying to these messages themselves.
Posts with no BFF content are off topic. So are posts of a moderating
nature (that's my job). Usually I will send a gentle reminder to
those who violate these rules, but lately it just seems to go on
and on. As a result, please be aware that you may find yourself
unsubscribed without warning if you post an off-topic message.
BACK ON SCHEDULE
The problem has been fixed and digests should once again be going out
daily on schedule.

I seem to remember someone asking Ben about covering a Queen song,
and he replied that it probably wouldn't happen, because it's just
not a challenge for them. The joy of hearing them doing Crosstown
Traffic is that Hendrix *was* guitar. Doing a Queen cover would mean
them getting a Queen songbook and playing it. Even Queen songs
without piano lend themselves pretty well to the instrument.

I thought it was something to do with them doing it when they were on
Hollywood Records, and Hollywood wanted a ton of money from Caroline
for the tapes.
Then there was this....

Okay, I'll excuse the intrusion, as long as you excuse the intrusion
when I shove this mail up your..... (mailbox. What else did you think
I was gonna say?) :P
Uh, right, plug time. I guess most of you have had a little excursion
around the Ben Folds Five Webring by now. Well, now, you can vote for
your favourite Webring sites in the new monthly Webring Five Star
Site Contest. Votes are being polled until the end of February, when
the winner will be announced at Webring HQ. If you want more details,
pop along to Webring HQ at:
http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/5430/webring.html
And if anyone has a decent Ben Folds Five site out there which isn't
in the Ring (Dave Holloway, where are you???), then see Webring HQ
for details on joining.
Cheers m'ducks
Mark (Tired of scanning 15 or so MA's....)
