Here's installment #3 of the International ben Folds Five Fan Survey.
****************************************************************************
UNITED KINGDOM:
Anthony <paul.leung@virgin.net>--17; London, England; tires to be funny
but forgets what he's writing and sounds incredibly boring; ben Folds
taught him how to play "kate," figures he's the only one who knows; would
like to start a Celtic band.

AUSTRALIA:
"Kel Lane" <kel_l@hotmail.com>--16; Melbourne; heard "underground" on JJJ
and bought S/T the next day; Missed them the first time around Oz but will
definitely be there next time (!!); tried to reply before but was "probably
pissed and sent it to the wrong addy" (For all you Americans, SIXTEEN AND
DRUNK!!)

Anne Kirkwood <akir2@student.monash.edu.au>--20 (Mar. 16); no city; just
got into BFF this year by hearing "Underground" and "Dwarf", only owned S/T
until today (which was the 16th, her birthday), Kicking herself for not
seeing them last year when they were at her "uni" cuz she didn't know who
they were.

"kim t" <kimsasha@hotmail.com>--almost 18; Sydney; been a fan for 2 years
Since she heard "Julianne" (of all songs!) on the radio; has a pretty funky
photo of her and Darren from when they were in oz; WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM
ANY AUSTRALIAN FANS "Or anyone else, for that matter."

"Julie 'fiver'" <shadow@ballarat.hotkey.net.au>--15; Ballarat Victoria; Saw
the guys on "Recovery" and was named one of the two missing members (!!);
"ike bff since 96 but only started to really get into them when I finally
found the Uncle Walter cd and then the first album just before WAEA came
out. It is really hard to be a big fan when you have Underground, Uncle
Walter and only know who Ben is (thinking he's Ben Fold) wondering which one
is Robert and hoping the other one will be Brendan (AS IF!!). Shows how much
the internet is my life eh?" (she's obsessive, damn); WOULD LIKE TO HEAR
FROM OTHER VICTORIA BFF FANS.

CANADA:
"christopher prowse" <granthart@hotmail.com>--28; London, Ontario; "Mighty
Canadian Fan" had tix for the Dallas show, but called home for family
emergency, so he couldn't go, AND couldn't get tix for Toronto. (What this
cannuck was doing in Texas i'll never know)
**************************************************************************
Once again, if you live outside the continental US, please send me an
e-mail with your name, age, city/country/county/province/etc and something
interesting about you and ben folds five.

soon i'll be putting the full list on my web page and adding to it whenever.

Okay, I know lots of you want real sheet music (as opposed to simple
chord charts), but I haven't posted any sheet music because I don't have
any notation software. So I'm thinking, would all those people who want
sheet music chip in and buy the notation software for me? I'm asking
because this is not software I'd buy anyway -- I don't have any other
need to create sheet music. The software is $77. Would eleven of you
pay $7 each? (And if there's more than eleven of you, the cost per
person goes down even more.) If you're interested in this project, email
me and I'll see how many takers we have. Do NOT reply to the whole
Armchair or I will punish you by disqualifying you from receiving the
final product! :-)

Disclaimers: I'm pretty good at playing by ear but I'm not perfect; what
I generate will definitely be recognizable as BF5, but it's not going to
be close to being exactly what Ben plays (except for "Brick", that ones
fairly unchallenging). Also, I'm assuming that the band won't mind
because I won't be *selling* the sheet music, and because they're not
offering sheet music books of their own. Oh, and if they *do* start
making "official" sheet music available, then I'm going to stop making my
own versions available because I don't want to unfairly impact their
sales.

Let me know what you think.
