Well, I'm back again with another thrilling installment of
BFF.....downunder

Not too much happening....a few more ppl gettin into the trio than b4
including me.......true, Its usually BRICK that is the carrot dangling
in front of the dumbass ponies to get them to walk, but hey.....at least
they are hearing the flowing honey music that we call Ben Folds 5.....I
was wondering the other day if anyone else keep winding new stuff that
you like about the band.......Like another song that you have been
playing for ages, and suddenly appreciate more.....I've done that with
the Brick single......listened to Smoke and Kate, (an all time fave -
ska version as well!!) and mitchell Lane....and I still learn new things
and experience different......stuff.

I know you know what I mean. I hope they come to this place again,
(Perth, that is)

A few ideas for sitting exams that you know you'll fail.....

7) Show up completely drunk. (Completely drunk
means at some piont during the exam, you should
start crying for mummy.)
 OR......
8) Comment on how sexy the teacher is looking on this day
(Really gets a reaction from the 65 year old spinsters...)
 OR........(My favourite)
9) Get the exam. About 20 mins into it, throw your papers
down violently, scream out "FUCK THIS!!!", and walk out
triumphently!!!!!!

I was just watching "The Truth about Cats and Dogs" and the Bad Idea lyrics
in it are the same as on the lyrics.ch site. Not the same as the version on
NBP (the sweet squirrel rim one).

Hi, Fivers,

For everyone who has been wondering why Y-100 in Philadelphia has not yet
aired the Sonic Session BFF recorded when they were passing through town,
I finally got tired of waiting, and called the station. The explanation is
that because the guys weren't feeling too well that day, they wanted to
approve the tape before it is broadcast. So the band has not gotten back
to the station yet with their consent.

So Ben, Darren, and Robert....could you please let Y-100 air the tape. We
won't hate you if it's not perfect!

I do have the World Cafe interview that was recorded the same day and
broadcast on Friday. I have to publicly thank my dear little sister for
taping it for me while I was at work. I didn't think there was anything
really amusing or interesting in it. They talked about touring, their
fans, how they write new songs, etc. The interviewer seemed more
interested in gushing about how much she loves their music, etc. But I
guess if anyone one wants a copy, I'll take offers.

Wow, I guess all that's worth more than 2 cents!

Is anyone here going to see BFF at the Nashville River Stages festival May the
2nd?? Please e-mail me if you are. God I can't wait to see them again. Just
hope they play more than a half hour like they did at HORDE. I've yet to see
them play a full set.

Hello Fivers!

I was listening to this song, on the S/T, and, I swore I heard my dog
barking, but, I later found out, it was on the song. Has anyone else noticed
in the faint background a dog barking? Like, one bark, and that's it. I found
it twice in the song. Please e-mail me if you have.

Hello.

I've just created a mailing list for the band, Jars of Clay. This is
fan-to-fan contact and interaction only for now, but might grow to more in
the future. If you'd like to join, send an email to :

jars-Request@Mailing-List.net

There is also a digest version of this list available. To subscribe to the
digest, send an email to :

Please help me get this off the ground!

Thanks,

Hello Fivers. I am proud to be a Ben Folds Five fan. I have all the albums.
I have (almost) all the imports. I have Shut up and Listen to Majosha. I
have some boots. I listen to WEAEA every day before I go to school and the
S/T on my way to school. I have learned just about all their songs on
piano, even though I can't sing or play piano that well. I make my friends
listen to BF5 in hopes that they will like them too (I've made some
converts). I have even changed the the lyrics to 'Kate' when I sing along
because I like a girl so much, I want her in the songs I sing. I love
listening to Ben Folds Five. And I'm glad you guys do to, whether you're as
nuts as I am or you just like to hear Brick every once in awhile on the
radio. Group hug!

With love...
Jason

More songs I'd like to hear the 5 that are 3 cover...

Joining a fanclub - Jellyfish
Get it on - Bill Chase
Skunk Funk - The Brecker Brothers
You're Still a Young Man - Tower of Power
Luck be a Lady - Frank Loesser (From Guys and Dolls)
Gee, Officer Krupke - Leonard Bernstein/ Steven Sondheim (From West Side Story)
