Any chance BFF will be playing a more intimate venue than Foxboro Stadium
in MA????? I would like to be in the front row....
Last concert I saw there(Foxboro) was The New Kids On The Block.
So if anyone knows......

i love ben folds five, so no one better accuse me of hating them, because they
are my favorite. BUT.....brick is played on the radio constantly, so now
everyone knows bff as the "brick group." this bothers me. i have nightmares
about it. i have never really liked the song brick, it's slow, and depresses
me. BFF has so many wonderful songs that it frusterates me when they play
brick over and over......i was just wondering if i am the only one. does
anyone else agree with me. i feel like a bitch saying i hate one of their most
popular songs, but i love philosophy, kate, and the last polka.....

Why would you file Ben Folds Five under F? Would you file Dave Matthews Band
under M? Or the 80's J. Giel's Band under G? Just wondering, I wouldn't.

Obviously, if going into a yearbook, the quote should probably come from the beginning of Smoke.

OOH! OUCH! I saw the subject, and I thought "right on," but then... just a little
blunt, and while I won't totally disagree with him, I know he got a LOT o' crap for
that. Anyway... as he/she tried to say- keep that shit off the list. I'd say most
of us could care less about commending American for recognizing homosexual rights.
That's enough. The shit hit the fan there, and the taking advantage of the Armchair
for some VERY non-BF5 related "drivel" MUST stop. Please. Stop the insanity.

Hi, everyone, im in search of posters from the BFF concerts. Ive either
forgotten or been to late to grab them at my past concerts so I was hoping
that one of my lucky arm chair buddies grabbed one and would consider trading
with me, or selling it to me. Thanks so much, please e-mail me if you can
help me out with my problem at Simondasme@aol.com.

Thanks so much,

you wanna hear about Ben lookalikes! a couple years ago i worked selling
bagels here in NJ! they were hand rolled bagels (the only kind) and you need
a person with talented hands to "roll" or play piano for that matter!
but anyway, the roller was a NJ Ben lookalike! i swear!
i won't say what bagel joint this was because the place has rats and sells
spoiled food regularly, but i thought ya'll would wanna hear!

BTW - keep your eyes peeled for those out of print CD singles from Caroline!!
on a not to distant trip i found Summer B AND Underground part 1!
have yet to find any good bootlegs tho!

Saw the dates for Foxboro and Giants stadium listed, nearly had a heart
attack. Not that I begrudge them their success, just the thought of
sitting half a mile away from them listening, and comparing it to having
been so close I could have reached out and grabbed Robert's leg or
something is kind of disheartening, of course I'm complaining, so I will
stop. I just wanted to know if they would be playing around the New
England area in perhaps a smaller venue. I guess we'll just have to wait
and see, bye.

Hey Fivers
Jusy last week i was reading our local music newspaper when i stumbled apon a full
page ad for brick. What really pissed me off was that the ad contained a normal
brock wall withh all the lyrics to it printed on the wall like graffiti.
Then this week as i leafed through it i found another full page ad for WEAEA but
claiming it to be a new album and in the corner it had featuring the hit single
brick. So if you think that Ben Folds Five are still this little band than hardly
anyone has heard of think again there getting pretty big.
Rom
What also pisses me off is that there giving a free video away with WEAEA
featuring live fottage so those of us who bought it when it came out must forced
to rebuy it to get this little

Just wondering: does anyone have any weezer tapes they'd like to trade with
me. I have a few ben folds five performances/demos/interviews, plus I also
have a radiohead show, Regurgitator, Jebediah, Foo Fighters, Mighty Mighty
Bosstones, Everclear, Cake, Bush (yukky o) Blink 182, Reef, Heaps Of
presidents, Grinspoon & 311. So if you are also interested in these for BFF
stuff I'll go for that too. I need the weezer stuff for my friend's easter
present, it's something she will love! And I've been a bit mean to her lately.

you can get a free 10 minute video featuring "exclusive band footage and
live performances!!". i know this offer is available in Sydney,
Australia but im not sure about the other states. it's only available at
certain stores...check 'drum media' for the full page ad. if you can't
get 'drum media' for some reason email me and i can send you a list of
the stores it's available at.

Hey Spunkies!

In Drum Media today there was a full page ad for BFF. If you buy their WAEA
album from one of the listed stores you get a free video. I'm guessing it is
the Potty Mouth video. It also said that the album contained the new Hit
Single BRICK.

It's a bummer that they didn't have this free thing happening when I bought
WAEA. I'll try scamming one though. They might let me just buy the vid, maybe...

Anyway, thats about it.

Funny you should mention that. Tower Records here in Birmingham files
BFF under F, and it always confuses me, but thinking about it, I
guess it's the more logical choice. After all, there are two F's to
choose from :), and if it was just Ben, he would be filed under F,
would he not? Perhaps the new album should be subtitled "File Under
Folds" ;)

Um, that's all. I'm Sorry.

But i believe true bff fans appreciate good music, and here's a chance to

Whitney asked a few days ago about the students-only shows at Auburn and
Duke. This clarification is from BFF's management:

The Duke and Auburn shows are, in fact, for Duke and Auburn students
(respectively) ONLY! I'm sure they will check the IDs so people should not
risk it unless they are in fact students of Duke and Auburn.

BTW, folks, please stop the threads about hypocrisy and homosexuality and
anything else not related to the band. Regardless of how you or I feel
about it, discussion of those subjects is off topic. E-mail the writer

Subject: South Mouth?

Hey everyone! Did anyone else see the BF5 show at the Abyss in VA. Beach and
if so, who was the band South Mouth? My friends and I were wondering why BF5
would have a country band open for them and then we began to see that the lead
singer of South Mouth and Robert Sledge have the same kind of gestures and
facial expressions at times. I was wondering if maybe the lead singer of SM
and Robert were related somehow. That would kind of explain why a country band
would open for BF5.
Anyway, on to some controversial matters. I have to agree with the person
who said that we on the list should not verbally bash another's posting. As
long as we keep our messages short and sweet and basically on the main topic,
I don't see a problem. If we stop sending looong posts to complain about the
loooong posts then we wouldn't have as many looong posts! And in keeping with
that statement I shall end my post now. Sorry if I took up too much space!!
