Subject: general BF5 ramblings

Maybe I hallucinated it but I think I saw someone call Ben, Darren, and Robert "sell
outs." I've been going to BF5 shows since '95. I've seen them set up their own
equipment many times. Lugging the piano on and off of small stages. I've seen them
crammed into the little cab of their old yellow truck. As far as I'm concerned the
guys are finally getting what they rightfully deserve. I'm glad they're getting all
of this attention. The best thing for me is seeing someone else loading and
unloading their gear. Sure, Brick gets played a million times a day on the radio
but i don't listen to the radio that much so it doesn't bother me. Brick is still a
beautiful song and for those of you that are sick of it, i really feel sorry for
you. When a band "sells out" in my opinion they change everything they are and
everything they're about. As far as I've seen BF5 hasn't done that. About the only
selling out they've been doing is selling out at every venue they've played at
lately. So they've got a hit single. I'm glad! No amount of teenage girls singing
Brick out loud and screwing up the words at a show is gonna make me sick of the
BAND. I'll get sick of the little teenage girls. It seems like the mass of the
conversation that goes on on here is about how the "Brickheads" think that Brick is
the only song and you're getting sick of BF5 because alot of people only know
Brick. If you're going to stop listening to a band because they're getting famous,
how much did you really like the band in the first place? Hell, they could play
Brick 24-7 for all i care. Hearing Brick 80 gazillion times isn't going to take
away the joy i get out of the ah-ah's in Where's Summer B.? And it's not going to
ruin Darren's glorious drums in Last Polka... There is life beyond Brick. I loved
Ben Folds Five well before Brick became popular and I'm gonna love them well after
it's popularity fades.
Okay.. i think I've worn off the bitchiness of a bad day at work.

Does anyone know whether BFF's song "Cool Whip" is on any of the import
or singles? How about Dr. Pyser? I've goot poor quality mp3's of these
off of bootlegs, but would like to buy them on cd.
Thanks,
Alan
