I think this just might be my observation but whatever it's my opinion
and I will voice it.....I've been on the armchair since august/97 and
it might just be me but the armcahir seems to have change a
lot....none of the regular poster that were on when i first join post
anymore(ie Lesile the asian Librarian dork, Hannah, Marc...etc so on
and so forth)everyone seems to have just moved to other lists and the
majority of the poster now seem to be the after-brick effect....

I was just wondering if any one knows when tickets go on sale for the
show in Tinley Park. I need about three. Thanks.

Fellow Chairers:
I must admit I was shocked. The ticket sales started at noon on Saturday.
I got to the counter at 12:08 and bought my tix. They were numers 35 and 36.
Imagine! Just a year ago BFF was an "underground" band, and now they sell
36 tickets in 8 minutes!
Alright. I admit that shows sell out in 15 minutes sometimes. But let's
face it. I'm in Texas here!

Subject: Border's rocks

I was reluctantly dragged shopping the other afternoon. Straggling into
Border's I wondered if it would be worth the schlep. As I always do, I check
the status of Ben Folds Five cds. Pure Naked Baby Photos and lo and
behold..the Brick single. I've been searching for a long time. My fellow
shoppers were treated to squeals and shouts of joy produced by yours truly.
I've been a big borders fan for a long time and i've never known them to carry
any imports or singles. I rummaged through Radiohead next, and there were
tons of singles, old and new. My advice...check out Borders for clandestine
singles and funky imports. Has anyone else noticed this sudden change?

   Emily

P.S. The cover of the Brick import is oddly ugly yet aesthetically pleasing at
the same time. Too bad the pic isn't bigger on the back. Darren looks so
cute! Also, that whole Kate is ska thing, am I missing something? Sounds like
just strings to me. I love it though!

The only sellout thing Ben & The Boys are doing is selling out all their
fucking shows!!! Keep it up boys (if you still read this).

Also I've already talked to some people about the Q101 Jamboree in
Chicago...anyone else going? Well Ticket info will be released this coming
week and so will the list of all the bands plaing..I'll keep y'all up to date.

Subject: Adam Sandler

Okay, I was resisting, but now I just have to say it. After Sean's
reference to Julianne being kinda Sandler-ish, I just have to say that the
first time I saw Adam Sandler I just went "Hey! That guy looks like Ben
Folds!" ('twas in Happy Gilmore, if yr interested) now, maybe I'm just some
naive Australian who has trouble distinguishing between accents, but it
would also seem that the two sound a little similar also, as well as both
making me laugh an awful lot & having slightly violent tendancies (don't
tell me throwing piano stools isn't violent, it may be funny, but it's
still a little scarey!) so if you guys hate Adam Sandler or something (in
reference to Seans expectation of flames) sorry for any offence I may have
caused, is not intended

Hola, y'all...

Just wanted to share my horrible luck... I just moved from Indiana to
Roanoke VA a couple weeks ago... and as I was scanning for BFF tour
dates, I found... yep... a date in Fort Wayne, IN. MY !@#$%#*$ LUCK!!!
So if anyone is planning on a carpool-type thing to any N Carolina show,
could you let me know? I'd drive myself, but a) the people around here
are completely clueless as to who they are, and I would feel a bit silly
goin' alone and b) my car is a complete piece of shit (re Adam
Sandler.) I won't bite... hard... I just wanna see the boys live. Is
that too much to ask?

Happiness and hand grenades,

<<Ok everyone that has DOMO BEN CHAN DESU pull out your copies right now
and put in disc 2 and check out track 2 and 12...Is it me or is that
Darren singing Mitchell Lane(My friends says no, she thinks it's
ben)....And if it really is Darren, does he alway sing the song?>>
sorry if someone else already said this, but a few weeks ago on the Armchair
someone said they got to talk to Darren after a show and he told them that he
sang MLane at some shows in Japan, so it is in fact Darren. D also wrote all
of the song's lyrics. i really like his voice(in addition to his drumming)and
would love to hear him sing lead more often. i'm not surprised that he was
mistaken for Ben, their voices are a little similiar, while Robert is more
instantly recognizable.

p.s. i'm begging you people, please, be a little nicer. this is a place to
discuss. i have no problem with differing opinions and disagreements, but i'm
tired of the redundant sarcasm and picking fights. this should be a friendly
place.
