Hey y'all,
I know this has been asked, and I looked through some old Armchair's, and
couldn't find the answer. But, is Ben singing verse 1 and 3 on this song, and,
then Darren/Robert singing verse 2? Please e-mail me, so we don't fill up the
armchair with all the same answers.
Thanks, and sorry.

Howdy folks,
This is maybe the fourth post to the list I have made in the two years I
have been on it.
I just wanted to inform you that a new interview with Ben, Robert, and
Darren has been posted on Generic Magazine's website under the Interviews section.
It was printed a few months back, but it took Generic this long to get a website.
The magazine is still in it's infant stages, so visit back often to see what else it
has to offer! The URL is:
http://generic.dyn.ml.org:8080 ... just click on the Interviews section.
Adios,
Steve

Subject: Review of Charlotte show!
Howdy folks! Well, I'm back in lovely Chapel Hill, extremely sunburned
but no worse for the wear from my trip home to Charlotte to see the boys
play at Center Cityfest. Okay, about the show. Crowd...sucked. Big
time. Tons of people, maybe five of us who knew the words to something
other than Brick. Idiots crowdsurfing and throwing bottles. God help us.
Overall quality--awesome! The guys seemed relaxed and well-rested, and
happy to be in their quasi-home. Darren (when he got up to sing
Underground) pointed out that he went to elementary school right around
the block from where the stage was set up. His parents were there, as
were his and Robert's girlfriends, Ben was with a girl too (I'm very happy
for him if she's his new girlfriend!), I saw Chuck, too (wearing a
Majosha shirt!). Not an incredibly spontaneous performance, but Robert
said it was because it was their first show back and they weren't really
in that loose groove yet--he did do some funny kissing noises during his
Disco Diva part in Underground. Anyway, here's the set list they were
supposed to play: Pyser, Battle, Philosophy, Selfless, Missing the War,
Polka, Steven, Fair, Brick, Kate, Eddie Walker (!), Dumped, Video, Dwarf,
and Underground. Here's what they *did* play (with comments): Pyser,
Battle, Philosophy (complete with tossing the piano stool), Selfless,
Missing the War (people asked for Snoop Doggy Dogg and Ben just said,
thoughtfully, "Snoop...Doggy Dogg" and then they launched into), Steven,
Fair (Ben forgot where he was at the third verse and had to consult w/Rob,
ended up singing "he'd gotten all he wanted, a crowd to watch him fuck up
the words"), Brick (at this point the whole crowd finally went
nuts...grr), Kate, Julianne (salsa intro, Rob dancing), Dumped (kick-ass
jam in it, Ben was using an extra mike on the piano strings for a cool
screetchy effect), Video (nice to hear it again), Dwarf, and then
Underground as an encore. I saw Darren for maybe a minute after the show,
and then talked to Robert. He said they didn't play Video and Eddie
Walker b/c they ran out of time (they started late and only played about
an hour), they were apparently doing some video interview after the show
so keep an eye out for that. Anyway, I've taken up enough of your time
with my musings on the show. It was great to see the boys again, now I
can't wait for Austin (which Rob assured me would be an awesome show)!

Okay poster and sticker people...
If you want posters or stickers just keep going to your local cd stores
and looking for promo cd singles.
I will gladly trade posters OR stickers OR live audio/video FOR promo
singles. These USUALLY only have two tracks but sometimes more.
I'm especially looking for any other than BRICK and BATTLE O.W.C.C.L.
michigan joe
p.s. holy cow is "dumped" being hyped at my local stations. I will once
again announce my dissatisfaction with "dumped" as a single. There, I did
it. : )

Yeah, Yeah, I know: "big deal" but here it is anyway: I just saw the BFF
"Whatever..." CD advertised for sale in a Target ad in San Jose,
California's Sunday paper, so it's probably nationwide.
Nice to see another bit of proof that they've [deservedly] "made it."

Hello all,
Please can someone help me. This is off topic, but it is the only way I can
do it. I'll keep it short - if any Austalians or New Zealanders want to
help me track someone down urgently, then could you email me privately.
This is a serious matter, and I am sorry to dampen the spirits of the list,
but I will be eternally grateful to anyone who can help me.
Thank you very much

You,
Lotsa stuff to say, so pay attention.
Firstly, to all of you who want posters, but the cd shops wont *give* them
to you (or accept bribes, dag-nam it) then you just have to take them, like
i did (from the monash uni show, melbourne, aust.) i actually took two, one
is on my wall, and the other is a little ripped, but free to a good home,
so if anyone (preferably in australia) wants it, email me :) (to be fair
the first email i get, gets the poster, if any) anyone who goes to monash
may remember that there was a giant BF5 poster in the window of one of the
buildings there, probably about 10-12 feet high.. whoever got to keep that
one... well, they're gonna need a pretty big wall.
Second, if the Godzilla s/t is out, over there in US, then wont someone be
so kind as to make an MP3 of "Air" and tell me where i can get it :) if
it's not out yet.. then.. well, i'll just have to wait.
Third, are Bus Stop and Snuzz CDs avialable in Australia, anyone? i could
go to a shop and find out but i'm too damn lazy.. so if anyone in australia
knows... ??
Finally, i hate that tubthumping song, it just came on the radio... stupid
radio.. underestimate me will ya!!
- -Paul B.
P.S. i'm so happy that i, me personally, started (or perhaps revived) the
trend of putting five bands at the end of a message, (check old armchairs
:) ) i'm going to do some more. since my top five have been all used up,
here is just another five really good bands (trying to mention the ones
no-one knows here):
- - Something For Kate
- - The Posies (just broken-up) :(
- - Rubher (little-known, now defunct Aust. band)
- - INXS (yeah, ok so everyone knows them, but they still rock)
- - The Mavis's (pre-Pink Pills)
P.P.S. to all those people who put "soul coughing", "they might be giants",
"spiritualized" or "dave matthews band" as favorite bands (there were a lot
of you) could you give me hint as to where to start, i.e. a good album to
buy, etc. thanks.
P.P.S. for some strange reason, my posts always get printed twice, if this
has happened, i'm very sorry, but you'll just have to read it twice. that's
the rules.

I noticed yesterday that some other folks wanted to have reviews of shows
on their site. Well, that's good and all, but I asked folks to send
reviews about two weeks ago, so nyah nyah nyah...just kidding...more BFF
sites, the better. Seriously, though-I actually have some free time at
work to do this sort of thing, so if you were in CHarlotte yesterday, get
me some text-I'll have it up tomorrow.
I'd love to see:
Setlists-
general reviews-
notable improvs-
"met the band" experiences-
OR-
Alan, Trey, or the boys, you can email me and review THE CROWD.
(hey, fair's fair)
I'd love to see:
Good song requests-
Bad song requests-
Disturbing song requests- (i.e. someone yells "Freebird," someone else
yells, "No, Missa Brevis in D minor!")
venue reviews-
"met the fans" experiences
anything else you want to share with us from time to time.
Okay everybody, start writing me!
