Since the Ben Folds Five show on May 14 in Austin is the same night as
the final episode of the TV show "Seinfeld", the band has come up with a
way so that its fans do not have to decide between Ben Folds Five and the
most highly anticipated TV show in history. Ticket buyers will be able to
come to the Austin Music Hall a couple hours early and watch the two
hours of "Seinfeld" on huge movie theatre screens.

 i'm sorry but WHAT?!
how the hell does "brick" sound like"dr jones"?????
urgh!
i'm in shcoh that anyone could compare the two, but here's my theory - i
think the people that write the text stuff are either tone deaf )or
completely deaf), or they haven't evenb listened to the songs, except maybe
when they were VERY drunk....

anyway
a plea;

if Jo Walker or anyone is out there or anyone knows what happened to her
PLEASE WRITE TO ME!
you were meant to send me a copy of CMJ and an interview in exchange for
some concert photos and a bootleg - what happened??!!!!!
ARE YOU STILL THERE?!
i'm getting desperate here, and i'm not gonna be at this address for much
longer.

thanks for listening guys :)

Has anyone found ticket agencies that DON'T charge insane prices for the
BFF/Beck/DMB concert June 5th? I've only found stuff in the
$80-100(starting price) range, but I'm hoping somebody's found someone
charging less. Thanks

Chairers:
I've been falling behind on my readings of the armchair, but it looks to me
like y'all are having a little bit of a back-and-forth discussion of SFTD.
So, I just thought I'd give my imput.
SFTD is not lazy. It's an honest account of what a person feels when
he/she has been dumped by someone they love. If I were standing on my
boyfriend's doorstep and he hit me with "We need to break up", I wouldn't be
telling him things like "Hun, when you say that it hurts me. I feel like we
had so much going into this relationship and I can't believe you would just
end it like this." NO FRIGGIN WAY!
I'd be saying things like "You know what, fuck you! I want my CD's back
and all those posters I gave you and you can kiss my ass! I never should have
wasted all this time on you in the first place when I could be with a real
man!!!"
This is because when someone hurts you, reguardless of how much you love
them, it's just natural human instinct to hurt them right back. No matter how
vulgar the language may be.
And no, Steven. I'm not saying that our time together has been a waste.
Or that you're not a "real man." I just needed an anecdote. Love you!!!

Free CD Offer:
Hi,
I'm looking to borrow these 6 hard to find songs on DAT or CD, plus one DAT
of a good live BFF show;

Mitchell Lane

She dont use jelly

Theme from dr pyser

All Shook Up

For All the Pretty People

Champagne Supernova (live) (1:33)

I am thinking of making a CD and will furnish a free cd(of the above) to
the person who gets me these songs. 74 minutes is the max possible length,
so I would select the best tracks off the live show DAT in addition to
these 6 songs.

Reply directly to me at 777jet@bigfoot.com.
Thanks

Uh.......................it's a debate on cussing.

>>if it offends everyone so much i guess u all hate FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO
WEAR >>FANNY PACKS.....am i right?

I think it's very funny but I'd be lying if I didn't say it could be just
as funny without swearing.

Hard to believe huh? Comedy without swearing .....IT CAN BE DONE. As a
matter of fact, unless the "joke" is ABOUT swearing, I don't even give it
credence as a good joke if it can't get an equal laugh without swearing.
Why? Because swearing alone does not a good joke (OR SONG) make. (Just to
save some people time from posting, I never said I thought SFTD was bad
musically and couldn't stand on its own)

And now.....I bid adieu to this discussion. I've had fun though.

Hello

This is my first post, and I want to say that the Modern Rock Live Show
with Ben Folds Five on it is May 17. I can't say what time Modern Rock
Live starts around the US, but people in the Detroit/Windsor area can
listen to it on 89X at 10:30.

Also, I need help getting BFF Bootlegs and I have none. I know most
people do not sell them, but since I have no tapes myself, I can't trade.
E-mail me, don't post.

Five favorite bands (other than BFF)
1. Smashing Pumpkins
2. Lincoln
3. Our Lady Peace
4. Rage Against the Machine
5. They Might Be Giants

Subject: BFF ramblings..

Hi,

Well, I don't think I've posted much but I have to get something off my
chest:

1. SFTD: it's a great song and I am not offended at all by the lyrics. In
fact, I feel even more for Darren, whom I believe was the victim, right?
(that story is autobiographical..right?) My local alt.rock station "CFNY
102.1 The Edge" in Toronto, Canada played the non-edited version but the
other station that I listen to ("The Mix 99.9") plays the edited version.
(they cut out the "well, fuck you too!")

2. I noticed all you people listing all your favourite concerts. Well,
you are all lucky because I have only been to FIVE concerts in my whole
entire, pathetic 20 year existence on this planet. I have NEVER EVER
EVEN seen BFF in concert. I just don't have the money..plus no one I know
actually would want to go to a Ben Folds Five concert for that matter.
<sigh> I don't own any of the singles (they cost like $10-12.99 per
single!!); only the one album. I hope to buy both their self-debut and
Naked baby Photos one of these days but I just don't have the money. But
I still really love them as a band. I only recently got into them, maybe
about six months ago. (BEFORE stinkin' Brick became MTV faves..sorry Much
Music faves<G>) Do I still count as a fan? I hope so..flame me if you
don't think so.<G>

That's it..just had to vent. Some of you guys should be lucky that you
actually have seen BFF in concert..lucky lucky stiffs!

TTYGL,
Christine, Canadian BFF fan..hopefully!
