Will people just stop copying and pasting the ENTIRE digests? It's so
obnoxious to have do download these goddamn things.
I'm sorry I ever mentioned Paula Cole...

Hello everyone. I just thought that I'd share with you the fact that I
typed my frist article for a webpage magazine. (I'm only 14, [a very
responsible 14 year old] but don't tell that to the guy who published it. I
think he thinks I'm a lot older.)
I am a big fan of punk rock music (Not so much the '90s bands as much as
the '70s bands) so I wrote a report (I turned it in to my English teacher as a
research report, and sent it in to this newspaper. I got an A+ on the
report...) on the history of punk rock concentrating mainly on the Ramones,
Sex Pistols, and Iggy and the Stooges.
If you want to check it out, the entire May issue at:
http://imwt.hypermart.net/ (Follow the link so feature article, and then
you will see mine.)
Or you can go directly to my article at:
http://imwt.hypermart.net/article.cgi?8_f04
If you like it (or don't like it) please email me telling me what you
think.
Later everyone...

I was just wondering if anybody knows about Ben Folds Five playing in or
anywhere around Sydney, and when. I keep just missing out on shows by a
day or two (i tried to get it so I could see them play in Atlanta or
Europe), so if anybody hears anything, please let me know. thanks.
kt.

Hi all, first posting. I don't know if this has been brought up before,
but I stumbled upon this impromptu real audio song that BFF did for the
premiere webcast of the Rolling Stone Network/Jam TV. It's pretty funny,
and the link is
http://www.rollingstone.com/sections/news/text/newsarticle.asp?afl=rsn&NewsI
D=2932&navchoice=cage&LookUpString=318. Sorry if this has already been
brought up!

I'm going to the BFF concert tomorrow at the Hollywood Palladium. It's my
first BFF concert, and it should rock, of course.

Well, that's it folks. Here's my five favorite bands besides BFF (which is
my current favorite):
Radiohead
Beck
Cake
Beatles
Fleetwood Mac
I also dig Pavement, Garbage, Propellerheads, Pink Floyd, and REM, among
others. Am I the only person that thinks Dave Matthews Band is highly
overrated? (uh, please don't flame me)

Regards,
Brian

slightly (well, completely) off topic, but i agree with dave, agents of
good roots are amazing. was surprised to see two other fans here...

now for the off-topic...i have 6 tickets to the june 5 show at foxboro. me
and my friend went to a ticket outlet the morning they went on sale, i
managed to get third in line, only to learn that lawn seats were only sold
over the phone. so now we have six really good stadium seats, i'm
wondering if someone would want to work out a trade, something like 4 lawn
seats for our 6 seats that are in the 5th row, i think. e-mail me
privately if anyone's interested...

i guess i'll do the 5 bands other than bff thing- rem, dave matthews,
agents of good roots, g love, they might be giants.

Yes, I too hear Paul & The Band playing "Battle". I was quite surprised the
first time I heard it, and was amazed by how often I heard it after that.

And this Paula Cole talk. Um, I really haven't heard anything but her
"Where Have All The Cowboys Gone", and from hearing that song she seemed
the anti-feminist to me. But of course the meaning may be hidden behind
lines like "I will do the dishes while you have a beer". But if someone
could shed a little light here it'd be appreciated.

And about the Spin magazine article. Whats the big deal if the guy knocks
them? Sure he's probably heard only one of their songs and is a meathead,
but he can write whatever the hell he wants. Think of all the good
publicity the band has ever gotten over the years. I have yet to read a
review of their music or an article of any kind that was negative in
anyway. I can't think of any other band that has recieved so much praise in
so little time. If one person wants to dissent, that's fine with me.

Looking forward to May 15th...
