Hey!
Ya know, Ive only been here a little while and some of the people are
really nice, but others...well you get the drift.
Anyway, I dont get it. Why does everyone hate newbies? You were one
once too....Its like being a freshman in highschool! :O)
Also, why is it a sin to like the old school stuff? I tend to prefer
it. I guess I have 2 strikes against me on this list.
I just wanted to post to break it up a little. I also wanted to say
that Ive been on other band lists before, and I have never loved a band like
Ben Folds. So lets try to stick together, cause without a common effort, we
will all fall apart like the other lists.:O) And I love you guys too much to
see that happen!
Emily :O)

Hello,
First off, I'd like to say that this fight has gone way too far. Much more
than half the posts in this are about this stupid arguement. I just joined
the list, and I have no problem with anybody on here, I'm just tired of
getting 6 issues each day, with 20 posts on them, and 18 out of the 20 posts
are about this fight. Easy solution...if you are not agreeing with someone,
e-mail them privately so all of us don't have to waste our time reading the
same thing over and over again. PLEASE just stop the fighting, or if you
don't, continue fighting, but do it privately, not for the whole list to read.
Next, I was really excited about getting to go to the Giants Stadium
Concert, but was not able to attend. I was hoping someone on the list
would've taped it. If you did, please email me, I would really appreciate
it!! Or if you didn't, and you know someone that did, please send me their
address. Thanks so much!
~Kristin :)

This is a public thanks to Chad for his MP3 archive. I'm new to the MP3 game,
but this web site certainly helps me in my cause. And I'd never gotten to hear
anything from the demo before this site came along!
Thanks again, Chad.

Does anybody out there know of a service that will take my MP3 files that I
send them and put them on a CD? Thanks!

so, i'm probably a little behind with this, but i just can't keep up with
all of the armchairs coming to my inbox every day...
the boys played for a crappy commercial station's festival here in
raleigh last sunday (and i still look like rudolph). and as much as i
hate that station, i can't help but appreciate what that festival did for
(part of) the local music scene in the triangle. being the local music
director for a great college station in raleigh, my reason for being is
to see our local bands make it big...and here we have ben folds five.
i got to stand at the side of the stage while bff was playing, brought me
back to the days when i was able to watch ben's hands throughout a show :)
as they played brick, i looked between the curtains at the *large* crowd
of people and got tears in my eyes, just as i did when i first heard the
song, sitting on my floor thinking this was it, brick was going to turn
them into stars! no turning back, no 200 person shows at the brewery, no
more dancing along--there's only room to pogo, now. i wept then, and i
wept at walnut creek.
don't get me wrong, i'm sad they're not one of my "local" bands anymore,
but i was thrilled that i saw that many people stayed to see our friends
perform at the end of a very long, very hot raleigh day. thanks to all
of you who have supported ben folds five, it's *all* because of you!
- --alessa
don't forget...snuzz is opening for them in atlanta this sunday. can you
say, ROAD TRIP!!!!! ginger, i'll see ya there :)
