Vh1 definetly pissed me off this week.....I called for tix, and when they
never came in the mail, I got a little worried. I called back and spoke
to this guy from Hard Rock Live. He basically gave me an answer of "too
bad" concerning the show. So, Friday comes and still no tickets. I call
again and ask if there is anyway whatsoever for me to get in and they say
no. I ask if I show up will they let me in, they say no. So, me being
the tool that I am do not go. Now, I'm reading all these posts about some
magical security guard who was letting everybody in. Pissed off is not
even the words to describe this. My last chance to see BFF in NYC for a
while, and VH1 screws me!!!!! It just ain't right. Oh well,.......I'm
trying for conan tix now. Anyone else planning to wait in the standy line
that morning for tix, cause I called them and they said that is the only
way to get them.

BINGO!!! Whoever it was (I'm too lazy to scroll back!) hit it right on the
head with Philosophy's "so you can laugh all you want to..." That's my vote
for sure.

I also agree that the magic isn't quite there on NBP (my fave harmony part,
that is), but I was at their Chi-town show in May, and I assure everyone, that
I got my fair share of chills during Philosophy!!!

Subject: Embarrassing moments.....

So, I walked into an indie record store (my belief is that these are the
BEST kind) yesterday. They were having an anniversary sale, so that meant
LOTS & LOTS of cheap CDs. Of course, I was there in a flash. Anyhoo, I
stroll on in the door & what should be playing over the store's stereo
but Fair! Cool beans, I thought as I went over & perused the 79 cent CD
bin (I happened upon the "FNT" radio single by Semisonic & a few other
hidden gems; gotta love those cheap-ass bargain CD bins!). As I looked,
on came SFTD (skipped right over Brick), & after that, none other than
Selfless, Cold, & Composed & the rest of WAEA. Basically, all I could
ever really ask for in a musical shopping experience (except if they
would've had that damn-near-impossible-to-find "Live in New York" promo
by TMBG). Of course, I had to tap my feet & sing under my breath (a
little problem I have with BFF, TMBG, & Radiohead; for some reason, it's
not considered "right" for a guy to sing along to a song in public unless
he's goofing around or it's rap or something), even though people were
looking at me strangely. When I got up to the counter with my CDs, the
clerk asked me if I had WAEA. I sheepishly said yes, to which she replied
something to the effect of "I could tell". Oh well, fun at the record
store. Of course, now that I'm on a steady prescription of Prozac, I have
fun everywhere! (The previous sentence was only a light-hearted attempt
at humor; if any of you take Prozac, I did not mean to offend)

Sorry for cluttering up the Armchair with this drivel, but I figure it's
on topic & interesting to me, so I'll be damned if I won't post it!
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! Oops.... sorry. Just a little giddy that my school's
finally out...

You'll get the loneliest feelings

Subject: lack of songs

Geez, I look at the set lists for Atlanta and other palces and they play
more than 15 songs. Up here (Canada) I've only been to two and the first
one they played a lot of songs but the second on was maybe 7 or 8 . Geez,
we sure are getting ripped off. (Oope that may have come out bitter, no
bitterness intended).

Subject: clarification

Regarding the post about where the band is recording next:
When I said homey, I didn't mean Ben's house again, so Leigh was right on
that! I just know how people have complained about Air being overproduced
and slick and we were asking Darren if they would avoid that or if Sony
would make them go somewhere and record.

To the girl who asked if it was Ben she saw: yeah, it probably was him
and his new girlfriend, there were several sightings of the guys before
the show!

Ginger :)
