G'day,
I was hoping that one (or many) of you out there would be able to help me
with a small dilemma regarding recording and getting some nice pics...
How the god damn hell DO you record BFF shows? And how do you get best
quality? Would a lecture recording device (one of those things that look
like a weird shaped walkman) be any good? And then finally, which regards
both photos and recording, if the ticket says "cameras, .... videos or any
recording equipment, all of which are expressly forbidden" how the hell DO
you get a recording device and/or camera into the show??!! I am sure there
must be a knack to it??!!
How do all the bootlegs get done??!!
I can only hope that the wisdom of the list will provide me(and others) with
these important answers
You all must realise that due to isolation from even sparsely populated
areas of Australia(having to travel a bit over 4 hrs just to get to the bff
one), this will be my first concert ever, so I am not too aware of what
happens at these places

Hi!
I just recently got my hands on the Kate single with "All Shook Up"
on it. I found the track very funny and was wondering if anyone out
there knew any details about it- such as when it was recorded and where,
and why exactly Ben sounds a little "tipsy"? I'd really love to know-
Also, can someone tell me where I can find a copy of "Schroeder's Last
Night in Town" ? I was at the concert (best one I've ever been to) and
would love to get the CD.

A while back cd now used to have the OAD single. Obviously, they
don't anymore. I was wondering if anyone had that single, and could

I got ben folds on my radio... hee hee... so did all the aussies
listening to triple J but anyway... last night on Super request, they
phoned Ben in Perth and asked him a whole bunch of questions... there
was the obvious ‘brick’ question and also some stuff about their
famous midday show performance... and then they asked ben what song he
wanted played and got
him to do this big intro thing and he chose... THE ULTIMATE
SACRIFICE!! how truly scary. I find that song funny actually. Even
though it was only a radio thing, it made me so happy :) but I can’t
wait till we see recovery on saturday. Isn’t it shocking that we have
to watch Daryl Somers on Hey hey though?

* HERE'S A PREDICTION. The band is reportedly putting "Emaline"
on the new album. I bet if they do it will become a huge pop hit,
it has the catchy chorus, the bouncy tune, and I bet Sony thinks
the same thing. I bet "Emaline" will be released as a single off of
the new cd and be a big hit, and Sony will be pleased.
* Ben is supposedly a big Liz Phair fan. Think the background
animals in "Cigarette" were inspried by the ones in "Whipsmart"?
* Ben should do a cover of "Karma Chameleon" (ehehehehe)
* any armchair cornellians out there?

Subject: "Brick" remix, SFTD
Maybe I was wrong before about ruining "Brick" by coming out with the
remix. Like they said, that's exactly what the song needed. I've
been staring at it in the music stores around here like an idiot, and
I'm finally going to buy it. Watch, it will probably be gone.
NON bff related- I got Hello Nasty on Thursday and I didn't think much
of it... My ears weren't open. So, I read a couple of posts about
the Beastie's new album. Someone said something like if you can
appreciate 'real' sampling, or something like that, then you'll love
this cd. And you guys are right.. I LOVE it now.
Oh yeah, does anyone know where I can get a hold of the SFTD promo
cd?? Even though none of the music store here probably won't have it,
considering all they've ever had is "Basking in the Sun"(and actually
the import of "Brick" with Mitchell Lane). If anyone knows..PLEASE
e-mail me privately and tell me! Okay, that's it for now.

i cam't believe sftd was on the chart show. i'm just going to go and
