okay, I know this is gonna sound hypocritical or something, but would
ya’ll just stop talking bout BNL? I mean, they’re an okay band and
all, but this is a BF5 mailing list and you know, it's kinda off track.

That probably has something to do with it. Cos don't ya remember, that's
when they recorded the Jackson Cannery 7"...on Darren's lunch break.

Armchair,

hey... i'm just here to gloat... and also i want y'all to see my signature
at the end of my email...

i wont go through the whole (melbourne) concert cos julie did a fine job of
that already... and i certainly wont tell you all about the part when I WAS
IN BEN FOLDS FIVE'S DRESSING ROOM!!!! after the show.... cos i know you all
will just get jealous... i will mention however that everyone is soo right
about how nice they are and everything... and i shook all their hands.. and
talekd to all of them for ages.. well, i few mins anyway... and got a
t-shirt signed by all of them... i can die happy now. seriously.

oh yeah.. their recovery appearence was great too... except i had to sit in
the audience of possibily the worst show in the history of bad shows for 2
hours and 50 mins of total crap... for 10 mins of heaven... ahhh, it was
worth it. except lenny henry... he was kinda good too. though i never got a
chance to speak to them... again. oh well. <singing> i wish it was, next
september.. cos Ben Folds solo album would be out.... hehe <stop singing now>

bye

I think that BF5 should release another CD like the Naked Baby Photos one.
Except, it would only have different versions of SfTD. Isn't that the song
that always changes every time they play it? I heard the one on the Whatever
and Ever Amen CD, Naked Baby Photos CD, and live on Conan. They were all
really great, and I would buy that suggested CD in a heartbeat... maybe
faster. 15+ tracks of the Different versions of SfTD, just like a really big
single. Oh, and to make it absolutely perfect, they should play the songs that
were on their demo tape, such as "Half Asleep" and... uh... that's the only
other demo tape song I've heard, other than "Bad Idea", which is already on an
album.

Just another BF5 Fan,
Gary

Ps. I think that if they produce that CD, it should be titled: "Songs For The
Dumped"

Last night I was watching 120 Minutes on MTV and they showed a new video by
the Squirrel Nut Zippers called something like "The Suits Are Picking up the
Bill." Whatever. The song is almost decent and the video is pretty queer
too. It takes place in a restaurant. A cage drops around the table that the
band is sitting at and they are served as dinner until they escape from the
restaurant. Yes, stupid. UNTIL>>>>>>>>>>>>who walks in the restaurant at the
end of the video? who asks "excuse me, excuse me, could i get a seat" or
words to that effect? our boy: BEN FOLDS!!! i was surprised and sat up in
my bed...that was the only good part of the video...that is all. did anyone
else see this?

Chairers:
I fell way behind on my armchairs. Sorry. I was out of town for a few
days and didn't feel like much reading when I got home so they just built and
built and built. My oo-boo. I'll try not to let it happen again
Since my suggestion that BF5 cover "Black Magic Woman" by Santana seems to
have gone over everybody's heads, I would like to make another suggestion.
(Insert drumroll here) "Purple Haze" by Hendrix. I say this cuz I'd like
to see how Ben immitates (spell check) Hendrix's flawless, riveting, pulsating
(insert more adjectives here) guitar with the piano.
I also notice a lot of mention of the band Barenaked Ladies. I have 2
things to say about this. I'll try not to be insulting but dang it sometimes
I just can't help myself.
#1....The name of the band is very anti-feminist. I'm sure it has pissed
someone off already.
#2....Get your own danged mailing list if y'all like them so much!!!!!!!
We're here to talk about BF5!!!!
OK. I've said the words "y'all" and "dang" a few too many times. I think
I need a nap to get back my original NY vocabulary.

Hey all.

Did anyone catch the whole of the Drum last night on channel V?

I caught everything after they played the Brick clip. The poor guys
having to put up with Molloy and that hideous hat of his!!!!!

Personally I didn't find the interview all that great as Molloy looked
as though he just bored the hell out of the guys!! And why play the
Jamaroquai clip in the middle of the interview?!?!? Just because it's
on the Godzilla soundtrack with Air... sheeesh They should have played
SFTD clip or something.

IMHO I'd have to say that the recovery interview was much better
mainly because the guys looked like they were having fun and that
unforgetable line of Ben's directed to Dylan (the interviewer) "You're
gettin jiggy wid it..." I was killing myself laughing!!!

Well less than 100 hours (assuming I can do maths which I don't think
I can, hey doesn't University physics disolve all previous maths
knowledge??) till the Brisbane concert now!! Hopefully I'll be able to
sleep the last couple of nights till the concert!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!

cyas!!

      Paul.
