anyway, i am looking like mad for a copy of domo ben chan desu (the double cd of the
boys live in japan) i know there has to be one of you out there that would be willing
to trade with me. and i can basicaly give you what you want. thats right.......

and ofcourse the second is, only because joe has it :) (well, i actually have been
searching high and low for this as well) is the 7" jackson cannery/eddie walker
single. again you will be rewarded if you can hook this pleading armchair brother up.

hi i was wondering if anyone on the armchair likes the electric light
orchestra (ELO). they are an old band that very much remind me of ben folds
five. i was wondering because no one seems to have even heard of ELO before.
one day i was blasting it in the car and my friend was like 'is this ben folds
five?' and i couldn't believe someone shared my opinion. just wanted to hear
some thoughts on this,

Subject: Another good idea

Ok today we will be making political signs for Ben, ranging from senate to
President. So everyone go out and get some nice thin cardboard, or if you want
yours to be bullet resistant get some sheet metal, get some pens or paints and
get alot of pictures of Ben, we need people to like him. See if you can get a
picture of him kissing a baby, and make sure he is kissing them, they used
pictures like that in the Jeffery Dahmer case, and we all know what he did.
Now if you are too poor to buy any of these materials steal them, pens and
paints shouldn't be hard, and if you need the sign just take a republicans
sign and paint over it, after all I hate Republicans so please help me elect
Ben, and screw Rebuplicans over. Now we need a slogan like "Ben Folds might
not be running, but he should be because I would vote for him" if someone has
a better slogan please e-mail me or put it on the MA. Now if you are wondering
why anyone would do this there are a few simple reasons.
1.I have nothing to do.
2.If I have something to do I won't do it, because I will be working on this.
3.If I decide that this is a waste of time I can say someone else got on here
as me and made all this up.
And besides, if we do a good enough job Ben might just run for prez or get in
the senate and make the world a much better place for everyone that likes him.

Sincerely,
Crack smoker Tyler

I think it says something about the sad state of my fandom that i got
concerned when i heard there was a hurricane in North Carolina. (It's a
good thing Chapel Hill is inland or I'd still be slightly worried)
Well it's bentent to me.

someone wrote <<does anyone know what the patterns in the background of
the first and second albums come from? like if they're from ben's shirts
or something? cause i have always thought that they just picked the
cheapest t-shirt on sale at their nearest garage sale. someone know the
real story behind it - where do the album cover's backgrounds come from?
(the plaid and patterns, i mean.) >>
I always thought they looked more like blankets than t-shirts,
especially waea. which I guess would make nbp a sheet or something.
My posts are getting weirder and weirder.
Also what the hell is the deal with playboy!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? is he in it
or not??? If he is, I have to work up the nerve to ask someone to buy it
for me. Grrrrr. PLEASE TELL ME!!

I assume some of you have heard of the SEMANTICS / BEN FOLDS FIVE
connection?
Well, I'm looking for the "Power Bill" cd THE SEMANTICS released. I
believe it was their only one. I'm a pretty good "web searcher" but I
can't find A THING.

Any help?

Hi everyone

Just to let you know that I'll be leaving the armchair for a short while,
till about late-September. I've been on here since March (I think) and have
watched as various topics have come and gone, amused at times, shocked at
others. I've made a whole host of friends through the Armchair too, and I'd
like to thank Frank for making this all possible.

Well, hopefully I won't miss anything of importance, like the beginning of
the fan club, or an Armchair only cd release, or the evidence all along
there have been another two members in the group, who hide inside the piano
with tape recorders, and just press play when the band pretend to play
their instruments. Or maybe we'll find out that Brick is actually about the
life and times of a small time gold prospector from Wales. Think about
it.....

On a more serious note, if any of you need to contact me, you can still
email me at uncle_walter@mailexcite.com and I'll check it pretty regularly.
If the fan club does start up, then could you make sure I'm in it? That'd
be grand.

Cheers, and till late September

Luke

Honestly, BFF isn't my favorite band. They are on a second tier (sp?)
along with Foo Fighters, Nirvana, and Jimi Hendrix. My real fave is Meat
Puppets. I have eleven of their CDs. I'm only missing one. I really
love them, but nobody I know really cares about them. Is there anyone
out there that shares my love of BFF and the Meat Puppets?
Greg

hey! I heard somebody say something about BFF on Saturday Night Live. I
didn't even know they had been on it because I am a jerk. Who was the
host of their show so I can tape them the next time they show a rerun?
And what other videos are shown along with Brick in the Pop-Up Videos so
I can tape that too?
Also, does anybody have any good, complete BFF sheet music they can send
me or tell me where to get them (preferably free). I've seen some music
at a couple of sites, but it's not complete songs. ESPECIALLY BRICK,
SONG FOR THE DUMPED, AND ONE ANGRY DWARF.... I don't know how to play
piano very well, but I read music. I'm trying to teach myself piano by
learning BFF songs. Isn't that noble indeed?
