Hi all.

I was out buying my little sister's birthday present the other day
and I was thinking, since she's obsessed with the Mighty Mighty
Bosstones why not try to find her a bootleg or something of theirs to
add to her present? I know this mailing list is for Ben Folds Five
but I thought maybe someone (or their brother/sister) might have a
bootleg/single/rare something/stuff from the Mighty Mighty Bosstones
that they would be willing to trade me. I have Ben Folds Five stuff
I can trade. If you do PLEASE e-mail me. Thanks so much.

Liz

I know alot of you out there in BFF land are looking for the SFTD
single...for $10 you can get from www.musicblvd.com They also have the
Air single. And about sending Ben a card to his house, i agree with
alison (i think that's who it was) that we shouldn't send it to his
house...so if you are going to send him a card or something, send it to
the PO box...i'm sorry if i insulted anyone 9_9

the titles of the most of the songs of the album FEAR OF POP have
appeared on one of the greater Ben Folds Five Websites. It also mentions
the release of the album in october, although september has been the
word on here for the past week or so-- here's the sight:

i know nothing of how the owner of the website found all this out, don't
email me about it. thanks.

Allison: It was a band called Gun Hill Road, the song was indeed "Back
When My Hair Was Short" circa 1971-72. They were a little like America.
You know, "Horse With No Name"? Thanks to my record head husband for
that one.

With that in mind, Ben Bradshaw wrote:

>Anyway, a few weeks ago, I was at Plan 9 in Richmond, and in the used
CD's
section, they had this Ben Folds Five CD called "mix tapes a
masterpiece."Yeah, it's a compilation from WEAEA, nothing you haven't
heard before, but worth it if you are a collector or, as we call it
around my house, a "completist." BTW, there is NO PLACE in Richmond to
buy music, especially used, other than Plan 9. If you don't have the
bucks when you want it, put it on hold and come back when the check
comes in. Again, this from my husband who happens to manage the
Midlothian Tpk. P9. He's a big BFF fan, so if you make it out there, let
him know who you are...

Richmond radio SUCKS (I listen to NPR)
Floodzone (where BFF played last November to a sold-out crowd) will
continue to have all-ages shows, but they will end early. We won't get
into the racial politics here. This is Richmond.

Gosh, the guys are so rarely NOT touring, it's kinda hard to come up
with stuff to talk about, huh? Looking forward to "Fear of Pop"!
