Yes BFF is up for a music award in "best alternative band" I belive. Also Ben
himself is nominated for best instumental in the Playboy readers 1998 music
poll, so everyone go out and buy the October Playboy and send in the little
card with a vote for Ben. Thats all.

hey ~

I just thought this was kind of interesting, and I wondered what everyone
thought...

My friend is a huge BFF fan like me, and at a party she had over the weekend,
everyone got into the subject of music- and of course she brought BFF up, and
she went off on how they have sooo many awesome songs and they are
overshadowed by other bands and are seem underrated and under-publicized, etc,
etc... Someone made the comment to her that she actually loves BFF b/c they
are not "huge like Hanson or BSB" (how the hell he can even put those 3 groups
in the same sentence is beyond me... ( = ) He said that she likes
having favorite songs that "no one" (his words- obviously he isn't on the MA
( = ) has heard of. That she enjoys "gasping" when people actually haven't
heard the songs that she thinks are masterpieces. At this point I had jumped
into the room and put my 2 sense in ( =

Anyways, what do you all think??

To whom this may concern:
Please stop yelling and getting out of control about the soundalikes.
None of us who suggested bands or songs that sounded like BF5 meant that they
were exactly like them, we were just saying that the songs had a FOLDISH
"touch" and maybe you should pick up the CD cuz if u like BF5 then you'd like
them. So calm the hell down, nobody is saying Ben isn't original or anything,
we're just saying some bands have some resemblances to them. So please don't
bitch at us anymore. Thanks.

I was walking into a uni building which has the library opposite, and
as I walked up to the building, what did I hear? The end of
underground being played VERY loudly!
Also last week as I was leaving a tute and these 2 guys were coming
in the room saying, 'Give me my money back, give me my money back'.
Now I wonder where they picked that up from!
Also WAEA is number 5 at JBhi fi in Aus!!

their best song in my regard. Thank ya very much.

Hello armchairers!

I hate to get bitchy on y'all, so I'll try to keep this short 1- don't paste
old armchairs into the new ones! and 2- Stop sending messages like

<<maillist.urp._____unsubscribe_____.doip.whatdoesthisbuttondo.twerp.tinkle.nl
>>

I realize that people subscribe and unsubscribe all the time, but watch it,
ok? Or else you might end up with the same angry reaction that people who say
"what is the story behind the song - i think it's called blip or block or
stick or something.." get.

Anyway, aside from that I was just wondering where I could get a copy of the
unreleased songs like Kalamazoo, Cool Whip, Rocky, Half Asleep, etc. I don't
really dig mp3's and I can't find anyone to trade with me. Thanks for
actually reading this far.

See ya,
Jon.

"Ben touched me very lightly on the shoulder, looked me in the eyes and said,
'What's up?' I said, 'Uh, not much.' Then his hand went down my back a little-
more than I was comfortable with. He invited me over to watch movies- I
thought. He started, basically, rubbing himself down with baby oil. I was
really shocked, I didn't know what to do about it. So, I called up
Robert...The rest is history."

Hi
Guess what? I have the ^Ñair^Ò single! I just thought you might all like
to know that it actually does exist. I found it today, for those of
ya^Òll that live in Brisbane area, I was at Garden City shopping center
and it was at Sunflower. Whoever posted about it before must have seen
it
there as well. It has ^Ñair^Ò, ^Ñmissing the war^Ò live, and ^Ñshe don^Òt use
jelly^Ò, the last two songs being the same version as on the SFTD single.
So I guess I won^Òt bother offering to tape it cause the version of ^Ñair^Ò
is just the same as the godzilla soundtrack version, which I didn^Òt own.
But I guess if you want a tape of it, e-mail me anyway. It has really
cool Japanese writing inside it, I distinguished about 2 characters from
my Japanese classes 2 years ago... and the
lyrics to the songs are inside in Japanese and English as well, and
they^Òre sadly wrong, esp. ^Ñshe don^Òt use jelly^Ò. I won^Òt tell you how
much I paid for it... yes I will, $25. Consider that a normal Australian
single costs $8, and I only paid $20 for the s/t album and you^Òll laugh
at me. Also, my vinyl WAEA arrived a few days ago, from CD now... I
don^Òt even have a record player. I will get one at Christmas, I just had
to order the record now cause I couldn^Òt wait. They ship it really
quick, so go there to see what else they got. I worked out how much
money I^Òd spent on my BFF stuff and it came to like $400 all total...
and then I complain I have no money. Well, I don^Òt complain that much,
only cause everyone reminds me I^Òm an airhead and not only that, but an
obsessed one and I should just shut up before I say something stupider,
like I^Òm prone to doing.
I^Òm sadly obsessed...
Crystal
"The overpriced single buyer"
P.S - If anyone wants to see the cover art to the air single, I^Òm
attempting to get my retarded scanner to work, I^Òm not sure, but if it
does scan, I^Òll put it on my web page. My web page, by the way, is on
the way to being fixed, so anyone who had troubles before, it should
work now. (my obsessed little fingers and toes are crossed it will work
and I^Òm not just deluding myself - I so often do) at least in a few
days, cause I^Òm still uploading all my files.

This morning, as I was getting ready, I flipped on mtv.(and almost
turned it off) Nothing good was on, so I decided to put on Whatever

in half! = ( So I just kept the tv on. And what do you know, "Brick"
was the next video! Haven't seen that on tv for ages.. Well, that's
all.

lauren--that is very true...i suppose without the abortion brick would never
have been written and ben folds five would have never gotten the popularity
they now have...or maybe bff wouldn't have been formed at all! oh no! a world
without ben folds five?!? how would we all survive? :)

also, who the hell keeps posting the old armchairs to the new ones? it gets
really aggrivating and redundant, so cut it out!

Hey everyone.

Just to clear this up...Jess Brandt is a really cool girl. She writes some of
the smartest posts I have seen on this mailing list, she just makes sense.
Her message (what *I* think she was saying was) was THINK FOR YOURSELF!!!!!
And it took the words and language she used to get her point across, and it
worked, didn't it?

And, I really don't care how many days you are from Ben Folds' birthday. No
one cares. Well, I don't. We are all 365 days away from each other, at the
least. How cool is that?! Let's post about it!

This time last year...no one announced that his birthday was coming up. I'm
sending him a birthday card. Kiss my ass, he's gonna like it. I don't care
what any of you think.

I don't want to get kicked off this list...sorry...I'm just a little angry.

I had a dream that I listened to Fear of Pop. It was so cool. At least I can
hear his voice in my dreams...ahhh...can you feel that?! It's awesome.

Love,
Lucy
