Hello Everyone.
I would just like to comment on the MTV Video music awards show. The key
word in the title of the program is VIDEO. They were not judging the song
by it's musical content, or the band itself. It was for the video, and I
hate to say it, but Ben's video wasn't the greatest out of the choices.
I'm not sure what one I liked best, but I'm not going to be biased and
say Ben's was the one that should have won just because I love the man.
Yes, he's a talented musician, but the video wasn't cream of the crop. I
think you all knew that in the back of your heads.

Somebody mentioned that there was snickering after Green Day said that they
thought it was going to Ben Folds Five. At first, I too thought they were
insulting our boys, but, after I thought about it, it may have been snickering
because they weren't thinking that they also only had three members. In other
words, they were laughing at how silly they were to not think that they had 3
members. Maybe it was mean spirited, or, maybe not. Just my 2 cents.

it would be very impressive if you could fit a ryder truck into your living
room, no matter how rich you are.

Personally, I kinda like the fact that my obsession with BFF is
something "all my own." They are something altogether unique and
amazing that no one else seems to be in on. Yet at the same time, it's
kind of a bummer to know that only one other person I know even owns a
BFF cd (and only 'cuz I bought it for her - though she had been planning
to go out and get it herself anyway after I played "Evaporated" for her
one day). I hate being unable to gush about how incredible "The Last
Polka" is, or being the only one singing along when "Underground" or
"BOWCCL" is playing. That's one of the things I like about the MA - I
can say, "BEN FOLDS FIVE! OH MY GOD!" and everyone knows exactly what
I'm talking about. But as much as I like having my own Personal Fav
that ain't just another BSB or Hanson (gag me on BOTH accounts), I still
wish that everyone else would appreciate them as much as I do. After
all, in my opinion, they damn well ought to!

Ok, don't want to get flamed here, but remember it's the MTV VIDEO music
awards. I love BFF and "Brick" better than Green Day, But GD's video was
really original and effective. So, maybe they're musical talent is lower
than Ben, Robert, and Darren, but they are creative in the VIDEO dept.
