there is probably more people on this list that make me mad than there are not....the ones that dont make me mad are the ones that are smart enough to look for tapes on the net and not waste space and those who dont ask how many people are on this freaking mailing list. oh i have to be on topic you say well then. im looking for a John Boyer and an Erik sorrensen.....if i remember correctly they were going to save us all and make a great little fan club (sarcasm?? not a chance.) also there was a girl by the name that i cannot recall that was going to do newsletter. If you happen to know anything about these people or are lucky enough to be one of these people i would be more than happy if you would please email me at (clayton@benfoldsfive.net). I am interested in finding these people for the purposes of talking to them...so lets see what this list can do! thank you in advance for helping me out. Also, hey to anybody that is still on that list that knows my name! (that would b!
e dan kathryn, umm maybe courtney and lucy and jess and everyone else that i didnt mention...they are all really cool)

Hey, I'm new to this list so I don't know really how this works but I'm
giving it a try!
I am a freshman @ Chapel Hill and a big BFF fan and sometimes I forget
that I live in the same town as BFF. But anyway, I saw Ben and somebody
else possibly Darren or Robert, I couldn't really see, walking down the
street today! I was so excited! It absolutely made my day! Most
people that live in Chapel Hill, it's probably not anything new to them,
but it was extremely exciting for me. I was in the car with a couple
friends and I just started freaking out. I was thinking, "Gosh, that
guy looks a lot like Ben Fo--OH MY GOD! IT'S BEN FOLDS! Walking down
the street!" My friends were like "Uh, well, he does live here Brooke."
No shit, I've just never actually SEEN him in PERSON.
It was just really great for me, thought I would pass it on.

Brooke ;)

How come no one ever compliments on Darren J.'s excellent drum work and
back-up vocals?
My fave member would have to be Mr. Darren Jessee all the way.
Have a great day

tres cosas:
1: speaking of "Folds" as a verb as in poker. I was ranting about BFF at
Dunkin Donuts with my friend Tim. He took out a 5-dollar-bill and folded it
and said "Tim Folds Five" - thought that was original
2: i forget what 2 was....oh yeah.....stephen's last night in town:
background sounds like "ooooo keep that shit safe" just what i sing in the
shower it doesn't mean that i'm right
3: in anyone has any US tour dates (preferably New England or Massachusetts
or Boston would be great) please e-mail me....thanx

hey everyone!
If you don't know what/who sloan is you need not to read any ferther, even
though I recommend that they are worth checking out. (Sloan is a cool
poppy group from Canada). Awhile ago I saw chris and Jay from Sloan at the
concert in Toronto when BFF opened for Beck. I never got a chance to talk
to them there, but I noticed that they were really boppin' to BFF! Just
last week I was at one of Sloan's concerts (wearing my BFF "kiss my ass"
t-shirt of course) when chris looked up from the stage and shouted "Ben
Fold's Five Kicks Ass! Waooooo!!"
It's really cool that other good bands think that BFF are awsome too!

(ps-has anyone heard the new belle&sebastian cd? plz email me privately.
thanx)

I agree with the author below that it seems kinda odd that the they
would release a single that is on a soundtrack(on the Japanese on they
plaster Godzilla on the bottom and all over the place, plus there is a
sticker saying it's a special release for the fuji rock festival and
godzilla...and yes I did get it from Japan via my sis..cost her 1200
yen from HMV...that's 11 canadian) and that the b sides be demos that
they never released...could it be a cdr that someone made?...and plus
the link didn;t work for me either..

Oh yeah i was visiting Frank's site and in Discography it says the
Bsides of the air single are Missing the war(live), she don;t use
Jelly, and Song for the dumped(Japanese Version)...but on mine there
is no song for the dumped (Japanese version)...what's going on
here?...it'd be great if someone let me know...

that guy that wrote about the U.S. air single i think made it up. his
page don^Òt work, his e-mail bounced my message (i tried twice from 2
different e-mail addresses), and why would BFF release 6 of their fairly
old songs on a single anyway? I think not. He was probably just shaking
everyone up. Grrr, it^Òd be a really good single if it actually
existed...
sorry if it is true, but I'm not believing it till there's real proof...

I would have to say that my personal favorite is "Philosophy". Because when I
borrowed the cd from my boyfriend a long time ago to see what BF5 was like,
that song was the first to really catch my attention, after that I was
hooked!! I love the lyrics, but most of all, that piano solo at the end gets
me every time!!! I Love It!!!

Dear Armchairians,

I'm after All Ben Folds Five singles other than the Australian OAD, Brick
and SFTD singles. If anyone (especially Aussies) could tell me where to get,
or even better...send me =|:^) (unfortunately I am lacking tradables at the
moment...but am willing to pay "Cha-Ching!!!") the other singles, I would be
forever greatful

this isn't anything important
but I was slightly stoked when the net50 played the japanese version of
sftd instead of the normal one, and they played all of it - even the
talking at the end. put me in the right frame of mood to go out, it did.
but the dj still called bff 'THE ben folds five'. git.

also for those of you over 18 in Brissie, I recommend superdeluxe in the
valley, coz the dj will play bff if you ask him to -and heaps of people
came on the dance floor when he started playing OAD (he he he - didnt I
feel good)
plus you can dance as silly as you would at home adn not feel
uncomfortable. (a rare find)
enuf with the shameless plugging

it was nice to see you put your two cents in, frank. I was beginning to
wonder whether you still read this thing <g>

people: if you're going to livid email me....

I just wanna say: damn OAD goes off.

Just wanted to say hello to all ya'll out there. It's great to be back.
Doesn't look as if I've missed much, except about 300 armchairs. I could be
exaggerating but I doubt it. I don't know how often Southern Oxford puts out a
magazine, but in June there was a really good article on BF5. The magazine
also had a really unique CD that came with it.
