Maybe it's just me...but I didn't understand the = joke. Anywho...that
person was only joking about the cover album...they said so. And by the
way...the name of Shawn Mullin's song IS lullabye, not rockabye.

I've been on this mailing list for about three years now and i have never sent
anything because i just like to read about what people have to say about bff.
When I first became a member of the "Magical Armchair Digest" there was maybe
three or four good messages from true fans. I am leaving this list because of
all the people that have suddenly heard off bff and gone crazy even though at
the beginning they were pessimistic because it wasn't the norm. When I read
the mailing list now I read about all these fans who pretend like they have
loved them for years( I know a few of you have) but for the most part many of
you are just people who follow what is the "cool" thing to listen to now. The
first concert of bff I went to included me and two other frinds and about
twenty other people and it was a dollar to get into. I hope all you supposed
fans get a mind of your own and discover other bands because I'm tired of you
ruining bff.

Dear sir: I'm afraid YOU are the one who has made an ass of himself on the
Armchair. The person (I don't remember who it was) who mentioned the fact
that many of the song titles on the new BF5 release have been used as titles
by other bands was merely asking a question, essentially. I'm not sure if the
person was half-joking or not, but regardless, it seemed like an innocent
enough post which did not really warrant your little tirade.

I've said it many times before, and I'm going to say it again - I love Ben
Folds Five, but why are Ben Folds Five fans so damn rude? I'm on 6 other
music lists like this one, and it never ceases to amaze me how quick many on
this list are to throw stones at other fellow fans.

Have a great day.

Your Pal,
Chris Mal

Okay, this is sort of Bentent, because they're from NC, but...
I saw this really cool commercial today, while watching the Indiana-Michigan
BBall game. It was these two surgeons, and they were looking at this guy
lying on a table between them. So one surgeon says "Where'd they find this
one?" And the other says "Chapel Hill." =) Anyway, they cut off his NC shirt,
and it shows the bottom of his shoes which say "Go Heels!". Then the surgeon
cuts into his stomach, or something, and starts breathing heavily. Then he
lifts up his gloves, and they've turned light blue!
...well, okay... I thought it was awesome. I don't even know what it was
for... I think it was for Nike, or a BBall tourney. Anyway, anyone else see
this one?
Love and kisses (especially to the awesome trio!)
Sarah Z.

<<Is "I Thought About The Army" going to be some kind of a sequel to "Kate"?>>

I'd rather doubt this. "ARMY" was written next to "KATE" in the lyric sheet
of WAEA because the KISS fan club is called the KISS ARMY or something...so, i
don't think "I Though About the Army" is going to be a sequel to "Kate"...but,
knowing the way Ben and the boys do things...it might be a song about debating
whether or not to sign up for the KISS fan club

ok the IRONY here is that this same post was posted about 5 times on the
chair. sorry, i'm not trying to make fun of you, it's just the way that
the first sentence was worded added humour to fact.
ok i'm excited about tuborm, and i have one question completely
independent: is that kate on the cover of the single? i KNOW we've
already discussed this, but i didn't care at the time. and i don't save
the posts.

Not to knitpick, but the Shawn Mullins song is actually called "Lullabye"
not "Rockabye". Just thought I'd share.

I think it was pretty obvious that Leigh was kidding. (I'm thinking
"this post was intended as humor. please take it that way." was a
pretty solid indicator) I know few people who are as into our boys is
Senor Leigh. He's not exactly the "Oh. I know! I've got 4 beers in me so
I'm sure that it would be funny if I could piss off a Mailing List Full
of BFF fans" kinda guy. I'm hoping that Bill was just kidding around. If
not...I think everyone on the list ought to Fed Ex Mr. Laughner an
electric eel.

Subject: New album!!!

Hiya, y'all!

I for one can't wait for this new BFF album - I get the feeling that
this album is going to have a certain difference about it. How? Well,
I'm going on the Godzilla "Air" track in which there was a load of
weird noises in the background. One can assume that this was
produced while Fear of Pop (argh! Dare I mention that album in
such pro-BFF company!?) was getting produced, and you'd think
that Ben actually was getting to like putting weird noises into his
music.

Soooo... maybe there might be some musical change to this
album from the other. I wonder if Ben thinks that weird ambient
noises are FOP territory only, or if he wants to present this new
album with aforementioned bleepy-bloop noises? What does the
armchair think about this possibility? Do we actually like weird
bleepy-bloop noises in our piano-pop?

Still, can't wait even though that I'm still stuck here in the dreary,
crappy UK and album releases take forever to get over here. Oh,
and as for the cover, it should have some sort of William Shatner
connection - maybe Ben and co on the Starship Enterprise, or
something. As long as it isn't as bland as the FOP cover, I'd be
happy. C'mon! We all love our album covers/CD booklets! It what
makes everything about owning a superb album complete...

Ta, ta!!

Steve ;)~

Ya, Sarah, whatever happened to the t-shirt thing. It was this major topic and
now it has disappeared. Also to Sarah---what station did you hear that on in
Chi-town? I sometimes hear Brick or Fair on my HS radio station WHFH (88.5)
