Hey Kiddies!
I'm looking for a few of BFFs shows! They are all from KRCW (that radio
station that features so many great artists!):
October 17, 1995
July 17, 1997
June 13, 1997
I'm not too sure what's on these shows, I've only listened to the first
song of the October show...but if anyone has them and wants to trade, I'd
love it!! :)

Just when I had lost all hope for MY Ben Folds Five to possibly be in my
local newspaper (here in central Illinois), I find an article that
devotes a whole paragraph to them!! So, here ya go:
"Now that we've all recovered from the Elton afterglow [elton john came
here a few days ago], let's get the promoter community to work on
bringing some more fresh names to town:
......
BEN FOLDS FIVE
This would be good timing, since rock critics keep calling Ben Folds the
next Elton John. Best known for the bleak radio and MTV hit "Brick,"
this band---actually a trio, with Folds on piano backed up by drums and
bass---rocks with such range and (sometimes)fury that you wonder why
every other band seems to need a guitar."
.....
To say the least, I was very impressed by Mr. David Moll, the writer of
this piece. By the way, has anyone heard of the other bands??
Gwar, and the Untamed Youth.....just wonderin if they're any good.

download of it? has anyone ever seen it in its entirety? for those of y'all
who don't know...it was recorded by the boys in a japanese hotel room but to
the non-fan it is really lame...the three of them lying in bed lip-
syching...whatever, i wanna see it. anyone with info, e-mail me...also, if
anyone has 120 minutes with the boys hosting on tape, e-mail me, we can set up
a trade. thanks.

Hey all. Does anyone happen to know if there are going to be more shows
than the ones that have been announced? I'm trying work out going to the
Chicago show (it's the day after my birthday, for goodness sakes! I have
to go!) but it might be easier if there were other options....ok, thanks.
Oh, and in case I do go, I don't know where Park West is either. Anyone
who knows and cares to share, please email me. Thanks a ton! :)

The songbook is only for piano, butit has the left hand, which is kinda
bassy, so if you follow that for a rough idea.....best thing to do though is
shut your eyes and just play.

hello everyone!
this mightn't be THAT relevant to things,
but there's a news reporter on the local
news here, and his name's ROBERT PENFOLDS.
i thought that was really cool, coz it
has TWO band members names! (almost - a 'P'
looks kinda like a 'B').
oh, a bit more relevant: Australian people,
i heard yesterday from a reliable source
(a guy who owns a music shop) that the
whatever songbook will be coming here in
a couple of months. i don't know how much
it'll be in Aus$, but i just got it sent
over and it's really good, so if you're
planning on ordering it, you might want to
wait a bit, see if it's cheaper.see ya.
JANET =)

Okay, I've had the album for a little while but was keeping mum until I
knew more people had it. It kicks ass, totally, but I think most Ben
Folds Five fans are not going to like it much. Why? Well, let's see, you
put it in and you get this beautiful dramatic music that sounds like the
overture to some long-lost broadway rock opera. With the exception of
"Army" (how clever of Sony to make the first single the only song that
sounds like a "Ben Folds Five" song), the rest of the album is the same.
Right now, my favorite track is "Mess." The two weak songs on the album,
IMHO, are Hospital Song and Lullabye. I haven't heard Redneck Past,
apparently it was added to the album after the pressing I have...oh well.
I know one thing--this is the album that really showcases Ben's talent as
a musician, much more so than Fear of Po(o)p.
