Well, I live near Philly, but it looks like I'm gonna go to the F&M show
instead of the TLA. Does anyone have any info on it (the F&M show). What
time is it (or at least day/night?, how much is it, how can I get tickets.
Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I hate to put out the fire of new news on this list, but does anyone
else feel it's slightly possible Ben was feckin around with the
interviewer on that morning show thing about havin kids? He's been
known to burn interviewers much worse than that...just an observation,

yes its true
ben and his girl are moving back to her home town....adelaide...
wow how could an adelaide chic pick up someone as cool as ben...she must be special.
the new album ..."the unauthorised biography of reinhold fliegler"(i think thats the guys name) sounds great.
when ben was on triple j yesterday he was explaining about this guy." he used to climb the highest mountains unassisted and without oxygen...get to the top, smoke some hash and then go home"....bens own words. there was also an incedent in charlotte many
years ago that ben talked about... darren used to make fake id's and use this guys name. it was going well until darren and a couple of his mates all got caught with identical id... whether it was true or not ben told it beautifully. if anyone can pas
s amessage on to ben tel him to come up to newcastle and come for a surf with me. anyway we have 1/3rd of the band only 2/3rds to go and we can go to regular pub gigs and see them
i also have a guy who lives in my street who is disabled and has converted a lounge chair into an uncle walter chair...it doesnt have a steering wheel like UW's does but he goes as fast
oh.. one more thing thanx to comercial radio completely flogging brick to death (and there are so many other BFF songs they could play..eg last polka, man that rocks) i cant listen to the song without cringing...which is a shame coz its a great song. TR
IPLE J will suffice, even though they go for the high rotation thing, but TRIPLE R in melbourne are what TRIPLE J were 15 years ago. fight hard and lets get TRIPLE R nation...why ...coz i miss them

I stand corrected! forgive me ;-) and if that's the case, they are that
cheap, why the hell haven't i bought one yet?? oh, yeah, that's right,
bank balance of $1.53. ;-)

no idea.

agreed, i hadn't thought of that. good thinking :)

yeah, i may have been a bit hasty on my "light left hand" thing, ben
does play a fair bit of left hand stuff. maybe i don't notice coz i am
too busy listening to robert :)
they work very very well together really, if ben is playing heavy left
hand stuff, robert will play something higher up the neck, it is a great
combo.

that bit from OAD when robert plays that guitar-sounding bit in the
bridge blows me away, i didn't realize it was not a guitar until i
thought about it once, then thought "hey, there is no guitar...it must
be robert! cool!"

I'm so excited!!
Went down to my local music store called Bull Moose Music, and
purchased my crazy, mad, phat, $22 general admission BFF TICKET! I'm
also psyched because the show is the first on the tour, and I'M THERE..
what a rush... I've never seen them before, but if the live stuff on NBP
is anywhere near the intensity, i'll be blown away... which I'm ready
for. I'd also like to get my hands on an MP3 of Army.. I tried to catch
the JJJ show on Real Audio, being in New Hampshire, but I think I was
sleeping... ah well..

Dawson's creek last night they

I just had to say how good
it was to finally hear a BF5 song
played on a show. It was sooooo
good, got the emotions rolling
that's for sure. Anyway,I had to
say I loved it!!!
Anyhoe, the other thing I had to
say was that Army is the best song!!
After I heard it on triple j, yesterday,
I reckon it was sooo good and I can't wait
till it comes out on album/single over here
in oz. Anyhoe, that's all
Keep smiling = )

Let's thank our friends at bffweb.com for another mistake:

Tickets for both BFF shows at Irving Plaza went on sale TODAY, March 10 at
noon. The date is listed as March 12, INCORRECTLY, on the official BFF web
site. You can call up Ticketmaster on the phone or head over to
http://events.ticketmaster.com and get them right away.

Thanks to Dan for spotting this!

Hi people!
Adam spencer just said that they’ll be
replaying the interview (JJJ) tomorrow,
just after 7:00, so if you missed it, be
sure to get it this time!!!
('tomorrow' is the 12th)

He said this after making the mistake of
saying ‘tornados’ was by ben FOLDS,
instead of by ben LEE, and he corrects
himself saying ‘I don’t know which of the
2 would be more offended by me saying
that…blah blah…" funny.

Hey all-
Okay so this isn't too exciting, but I am in Columbia House Music Club and
they never get any good CD's and when they do they are like 7 years late. So,
I got a new pamphlet today and under "new and noteworthy" was FOP :) YAY!
Also, if ANYONE can send me an MP3 of Army I would be beyond thankful.
Thanks a bunch,

ok i realise my attempt to quote was a major misquote, but I'd only
heard the song once, so I forgive myself. (kind arent I)

what I meant to say was more like:

'citing artistic differences the band broke up in May
and in June re-formed without me and they got a different name'

and if that's wrong I dont care. and i dont care if that's the only song
that's liek the old stuff. I'll still buy the album even if they dyed
their hair orange and got nipple rings and started sounding like celine
dion. because I'm a sad person and besides it would be amusing.

anyways: monsiour adam spencer said he's replaying the interview
sometime around 7/8 am on friday (this week) so if you didnt catch it
here's your chance.
I also got an email from dan hirning, who rang up adam about it(and this
may very well be the reason we hear the interview again for all we know)
and adam said that ben took the single with him , but that they hope to
have a copy on monday and adam said he would play the shit out of it.

what a great guy. only bff fans should be allowed to be djs... (in a
perfect world...)

i'm still deciding whether to see the whitlams......

oh yeh , I'm not a silverchair fan but, I liek 'anna's song' it's sweet.
