Someone's got a promo video from Sony on eBay called "Spare Reels" for
sale. It's 12 minutes long and is in a generic white box. Anyone know
anything about this or know what's on it?

About three weeks ago, someone mentioned that they heard about a
Syracuse BFF show in May... i've been asking and searching and looking and
looking, but I haven't heard anything else about it. Does anyone have any
info?

Dave

(If you look at a map of where BFF is performing in New England, they seem
to be making a concentrated effort not to get within four hours of
Syracuse. Bummer.)

Hey hey armchairs-
Well, all this talk about the Beatles has just resparked my interest in
posting. Ha ha...I love it. Anyway, what's the deal with Truth and Rumors
being sold on E-Bay for tons 'o money? That ain't right. Also, does anybody
have any idea if BFF will be hitting the Midwest in their second wave of US
tours? (i.e. Minneapolis, MN). Mr. Maynard...do you have a clue? Anyone?
Oh yeah, what's this all about? I want to know. Email me privately please.
<< Speaking of the Beatles, anyone have
John Pizzarelli's new Beatles cover album? it kicks some arse.

ya, but there is quite a difference between bff and the beatles being put in
the same category and bff being called a "blatant rip off" of the beatles.
right?

anyway, i had a question. there's this promo video from e-bay that's for
sale. is this the same video that's scheduled to be released with TUBORM? if
so, is it just that concert footage that the management was putting together?
thnks,

Subject: again, I agree

As I did when WHATEVER came out I will once again agree with those who
don't like/ are surprised / feel disappointed about the amount of
swearing the "boys" do. As I've said before, I think it's lazy
songwriting.

>I can really notice that he swears where the song *needs* a naughy word

I can't even comment on that...

>"Dad said 'Son you MUST BE high'" just doesn't sound right

Of course it doesn't because you heard it ANOTHER way first. If the song
came out and the only version was "Son you must be high" you certainly
wouldn't be sitting around saying, "Oh, no, there really should be an
obscenity of some kind there."

>and in the radio edit version, it sounds extremely empty in the bit
where "Aww shit" is missing.

And again, that's because it IS missing. If it was never there you
wouldn't have missed it.

I love the new stuff I've always loved the old stuff and I laugh too when
he says "aww shit."

Doesn't mean I prefer it. I don't have a choice since I AM going to
listen to the band but I'd have a little more respect for them as people
if they made more creative/positive choices(can't wait for someone to try
and ASSUME what I meant by that).

hey,
whoever is posting with a purple/maroon background periodically, would you
mind just posting in white instead? (if you are an aol member you know what I
mean, Im not sure if other email services offer this option). sorry to be so
anal, but its a lot harder to read on my computer and I cant enjoy the
armchair nearly as much with my nose an inch from the screen.

Thanks for putting that up. Apparently, the later showing of the show
(11.40pm) had the complete song on it, but I only managed to video the
early showing. Has anyone got the later showing recorded anywhere?

To everyone who decided to flame my Beatles post out of context:
Celine wanted to know some differences between the beatles and bff so
she could tell her friend who said that bff are total Beatles rip offs. For
all of you who corrected me on the matter of Paul being the bassist, thank
you I was wrong. I got them mixed up. I'm not trying to say that bff is
better than the Beatles, I'm not even trying to compare the two bands. I'm
trying to CONTRAST them. That was the whole idea of the post. Maybe if some
of you would have noticed that the post was addressed to Celine, then you
would have remembered her post from the previous issue, and not taken this
post COMPLETELY out of context.
