First of all the version of PYSER is from that "Americans for Radio
Diversity thing from a while back for all of your informations. by the way
i would have to agree it does kick ass.

Umm. Is the band touring with a strings section because if they are i would
have to wet my self on the spot and i would like to know ahead of time so
that i can buy my "depends" adult undergarments for concert night.

Lastly, If any charitable person would be so kind as to rip the ARMY single
and put up some mp3s i would be a very happy camper. :-)

Thats enough for now

I have had many questions about this, and I finally found the answer. =
"Truth And Rumors" will be on the Australian 2CD set. Here's what Sony =
Music Australia has to say about it: "The Australian Exclusive =
Limited Edition 2CD package includes a bonus disc with 3 tracks recorded =
at Triple J's Live At The Wireless (Brick, Stephen's Last Night In Town, =
& Emaline), as well as a 10 minute band interview called "Truth & Rumors =
with Ben Folds Five". The bonus disc is strictly limited to the initial =
manufacturing run." Check my page for more info. Later-Jared

Subject: Bowdoin show

Hey all-

I posted a while ago about the Bowdoin (ME) show, but as the day approaches,
I'd like to add to what I previously said.

I am responsible for Ben et al finally making it to Maine. Yay me.

HOWEVER, the Bowdoin show is selling rather poorly (maybe 700 out of 2000
sold) SO, if any of you are considering coming, but weren't sure yet, COME!
The venue is general admission, but it also has a lot of balcony/bleacher
room on the sides for those of you who want to see and not fight the crowd.

(For whomever said something about a lack of publicity... I had such a
limited budget that I concentrated most ads in the final week- this week. do
you think that was a poor decision? We'll see, I suppose)

Here are directions:

>From the south: Take 495 N to 95 N (or just 95 N); after entering Maine, it
change into the Maine Turnpike. Get off at exit 6A, which is 295.

Take 295 N to exit 22. Exit 22 will dump you right onto route 1 north.
Follow it through a built-up section of town (fast food, cheap motels) until
it turns left. when it turns, you go straight. When you can go straight no
longer (at a light, there's a Christy's there) turn left onto Maine St.
(yes, with an "e") You'll see a big white church on your left- take the road
that is on the left immediately after the church. At the first lights, take
a right. Park anywhere. The gym entrance is on the right, right there.

I hope this helps somebody out there... I'm so psyched for the show!
Finally my hard work leading the concerts committee has paid off... BTW, has
anyone ele out there worked on a show for this tour? Their management has
been rather impossible, leaving everyone else who has to deal with them
pissed off. If I wasn't so psyched, I'm probably be a bit annoyed myself!

I have to get up bright and early tomorrow to go shopping for the food for
the guys. I hope they like the Tabouleh I pick out. ;)

I also foudn out today that I might get to interview them for the school
paper. That's a whole lot of pressure, but I'd rather do it myself than have
someone else fromt he school come off looking really stupid.

I guess that's it. Let me know if you have any question!!!

See you Friday!!!!

Lara

Subject: pyser - army w/b-sides

i was just wondering if anyone with this "studio version" of pyser knows if
it is the same track as on the "americans for radio diversity" compilation.
its a little-known cd which has theme from dr. pyser on it - a version of it
with strings from their HORDE tour. is it the same song off the ARD cd?

also, anyone in st. louis know a place to find the army single? or TUBORM
stuff at all for that matter? perhaps borders or a streetside? any st.
louisan help would be appreciated. also, we should try to get the point to
play SFTD on poinTV. i know there are a few of us.

Subject: BF5 & a Gospel Choir?

I saw the Beautiful South last night and they were fantastic. For
their encore they had the London Community Gospel Choir singing with
them. I was thinking how cool it would be if the boys toured with a
Gospel Choir. Imagine how good Missing the War would sound!

The Barenaked Ladies were the support act and they put on a really
good show. They only had half an hour on though so I really want to
see them do their own tour.

I'm really enjoying listening to my Army CD. It's great to be able to
play a song as much as you want and know your not going to get
bored of it because it's been played to death on the radio.

true, it's unneccessary, but amusing at times and it definitely is
useful for effect. TUBORM is much more mature than the previous records
though, there's two curses total, and they occur in only Army.

to the few who have heard TUBORM: is this something *completely different*?
is this gonna change their music category or something? cause from what i've
been getting is that there is brass and violin all over the album. changing
is great - its what keeps them fresh, interesting, and their fans
anticipating, but have they drastically changed a whole lot? the real thing
i'm getting at is i want to know if the new cd is so involved with these
foreign instruments that they'll introduce more members to the band. i'm just
a little curious that ben folds five might turn out to be what its literally
interpreted as...five. (or more.) anyway - messner could be more advanced,
deeper, and generally more meaningful and maybe thats whats making TUBORM
sound like some cluster of bacharach, horde, and early demos. i'm kind of
thinking that you shouldn't mess with a good thing - if it isn't broke, don't
fix it. again, i'd be bored if nothing changed - but is this cd an immediate
contrast to the earlier?..comments?

also - does anyone know if its sony550 or is it the ben folds five P.O. box
that sends you the postcards and other advertisements in the mail?

Hey there, long time no post! But hey, who cares ;)
Hmm, i have to say, i love when Ben is swearing... I dont know if
it is lazy
songwriting... I dont think it is. If Ben swears in real life
(and we all
do, some people more than others), why wouldnt he swear in his
songs ? huh ?
Not to hurt people's ears ? FUCK IT, if people dont like
swearing, they
should listen to the spice girls (or any other band that never
swears, in
order to be *politically correct*). I definitely support swearing
in BFF's
songs, coz it's their nature. Listen to their live intros,
there's always at
least one shit and one fuck ;) The day when all their songs will
be clean
and all, then it wont be my Ben Folds Five. Swearing fuckin rocks
my ass!
YAY! Politically correct can kiss my ass. I am not a rebel or an
anarchist,
i just don't like exagerated "behaviour rules".

Take care, though, i hope i didnt hurt anybody. If so,
[beeeeeeep]! He he,
sorry, had to censor the last one, really too mean for some of ya
