I'm new to this list so do not know exactly what has been said about this
great duo other than the small snippet from Issue #57...all I can do is
encourage EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU to check them out. Supposedly, the
rerelease of Delusions of Grandeur is tomorrow (Tuesday the 26th). I have a
friend who works at Blockbuster Music that said it just came in today. If
you're fearful to check 'em out, catch them on April 2nd on Conan O'brien.
What can I say except these guys are phenominal!!!!!!!!!! I caught them a
couple of weeks ago live for the first time and the amazing aspect of
Fleming's voice on disc is raised to a level of intoxication in person!
Love and Idiot Newbies,
Nathan

I don't know if plans have changed, but when I talked to Darren after the
Feb. 19th Troubadour show in L.A. he said they were planning a video for
"Uncle Walter" next. ???
Yes, I agree that they sounded much better live that night than on the
"ABC in Concert" bit.

To anyone who can help me out,
I have been waiting for this show to come along for a long time,
but now that it is here, I have no idea where Trinity Farms is or how I
can secure tickets for the show. Can anyone help me out here? I even
called information and there was no listing for Trinity Farm. So I am
stuck with no info and no one to turn to except for anyone out there that
may know something about this show. please let me know anything...
-thanks,

As much as it pains me, I do have to agree. The vocals were flat in places
and the whole piece sounded rushed and almost nervous. I don't know if
that would have much to do with the mixing. The piano and instrumentals
sounded great,on the other hand. Don't get me wrong, it still rocked and
all, but I think they could have had a better network t.v. debut.

I beg to differ. I'm one of those female fans who would prefer to
boogie with bassist Robert! ;)

this is chuck, ben's brother. I've been checking out all the Bf5 stuff
and its very nice! Keep it up. Just don't forget about the younger
brother who had to listen to that brat (he was one in his younger days)
pound on the piano and drums 24/7! But anyway, I'm very proud of what
he has done, I knew it would happen one day.

When is the next BF5 concert date in Cleveland? I was grounded during
the show a couple of Tuesdays back, so I couldn't see it. My friend was
going to go and report back to me, but the idiot spent all of his money on
Pimento Loaf or something like that and he couldn't go either. He likes them
almost as much as I do!
Also, are there any concert tapes floating around or anything? I'd
really like to hear these guys in concert because I've listened to the CD so
much I know the piano, bass, and drums parts all seperatly! I can even
recite the crashing sounds from "Julianne."
Y I K E S ! If there's anyway anyone can anytime anyhow anywhere give
me a tape of a BF5 concert, I would be truly grateful. If you're lucky I'll
ruminate a small compensation for your time and efforts (I'd give ya some
money).
But baby I was doin' fine how do you think that I survived the other 25
before you,

first off...
peter brady???
um...ooooook
*doesn't see that one but if you think so...*
um yes...to the boston boy...yaaaya i saw em the night 'fore in
providence and it was great fun....question mark bout those customers
but....they looked like they were having fun and that's all that matters
right? (well....)
only bad part was waiting like 3-4 hours for them to even play and in the
meantime being forced to listen to realllllly BAD music....
it was like a test....to see how long and how much it would take to make
us all crack...i have my suspicions...
but nevertheless it made everyone appreciate ben folds five a hundred
times over :)
i'm so proud
but beyond that...
yah,...i got to meet the lads too...i was happy cauyse the last time i
saw darren he was in the crowd drifting around and no one recognized him
and he looked very lonely but he had a really nifty jacket and we never
got to tell him.
so i told him
and he was happy
so um....yeah if y'all get to meet him be sure to compliment his sense of
taste in garment wear...i'm sure he'll appreciate
lovely :)
thasall...
have a lovely dovely happy dappy day :)

[First, welcome Chuck, Ben's brother, to the list, and thanks for the
nice words. In case you don't know, Chuck's band is Bus Stop and it's
worth looking for. They've been discussed here before, and it's okay to
talk about them here, or any of Ben's (or Robert's or Darren's) other
projects too. If Summer B.'s whereabouts are on topic, I guess anything goes.
And speaking of other projects, the Fleming & John CD is out today
(Ben plays drums on a few tracks), and F&J are scheduled to be on Conan
O'Brien next week, April 2nd.
Finally, I'm glad it wasn't just my ears. I thought the ABC In Concert
performance was a little off too. Anyone know where it was taped? My guess
is they were caught in the whirlwind tour and it was probably about the
time Ben had a cold or something. Unfortunately, not the best imitation of
themselves, but it couldn't be helped. Worse was ABC slighting them by not
putting on more. -fjm]
