Subject: Zorak, Ben and Party of Five
I just wanted to say thank you to whomever originally posted about Ben on
Space Ghost. I randomly turned the show on on Wednesday night and recognized
the plot structure (Space Ghost is delayed by Moltar's traps, Zorak takes
over the show) from what someone had posted on the list. Sure enough, about
10 minutes into the show, there was Ben! "You're Zorak," Ben said. "You're
gone," said Zorak. Zap. I know I wouldn't have recognized him if it weren't
for the mailing list (he was pretty teeny and on for only about a second),
so thank you, whoever enlightened my world by posting about Ben on Space
Ghost. I am so much the better person for having seen and recognized this.
And I, too, hold Party of Five in contempt (especially since Jeremy London's
character disappeared), but a little less so now that I know they played
BF5. But I'm still not going to watch it.

I just wanted to point that this discussion connections is
somewhat pointless after you realize that Chuck Folds, receives, received
or at least posts to this list. Now if anyone has closer connections
than his brother, let us all know...
I've watched Party of Five a few too many times and it is
alright. It is better than many fox shows, but that is not saying much.
It's not the Simpsons, it's not the X-Files, heck it's not even Ned &
Stacy or Sliders. Besides all this I would never bother to watch it
because I go to the gigs of this one guy, Wally Pleasant every Wednesday
night... if you're gonna be in East Lansing next Wednesday night, let me
know and I'll give you directions ...

Howdy.
Down here in Australia we have a tv programme that runs on a
Saturday morning from 9.00 to 12.00. It plays music clips, does interesting
news stuff and has a heap of other stuff on it that people like me might be
interested in. Last Saturday there was a segment about pet funerals, you
know, having proper burials and memorial services and being buried with your
pet and stuff like that. As a bit of a sick joke they had a crudely
appropriate song playing at the beginning. Yes, you guessed it, Underground
by our very favourite band. ;-))
Also, could anyone tell me what the Party of Five episode was about,
maybe quote from a tv guide or something? I don't actually watch it but I'm
sure this particular episode will be as late coming out here as the rest of
them so maybe I could watch it just this once.
Claire.

You are never too old to watch Party of Five. That show appeals to all
ages, sexes, whatever. It is the best show on TV (imo). It is well
written, acted out, and they play the best music on there. I was the
same way. I pointed to the tv screen and shouted "Ben, Its Ben Folds
Five!" My mom who watches the show but was reading practically jumped
out of her seat!

What Frank said goes for me too. I have talked so many people into
watching it, said just watch once, I know you'll like it, and those
people who took me up on it and watched loved it and are just as hooked
as I am. We discuss it at work, I'm on the Party of Five mailing list, I
discuss the show with my friends on the phone, some of which have
collection on tape.

Hello Armchairites!
Quick question: anybody on here know of any good used music servers?
Please e-mail me personally, so as to not waste list space. Thanks
in advance.
BF5 content: I got a tape in the mail a week ago from a list member,
and I would just like to say that I would *love* to see these guys in
concert. The tape was fabulous! I don't suppose there's much chance
of them coming to good old South Dakota, though. (Such is life, we
only get country, and not even big name country to boot!)

Hey Everyone -
This is my first post to the Armchair but I wanted to inform you of a Boston
publication that has Ben Folds Five on the cover.
I am the publisher of Instant Entertainment Magazine, one of the largest
independent entertainment magazines in Boston. The Sept/Oct issue is our
one year anniversary issue and besides the 76 action packed pages of music,
beer, randomness, and female extraterrestrials, there is a cover story with
Ben Folds and a never before seen caricature of the band.
If you would like a copy of the issue, send $3 to:
