I just watched 120 Minutes (I taped it because I didn't get in until late).
Did they seem a little uncomfortable to anyone else? I never really thought
that Matt Pinfield was a very good interviewer, and my opinion seemed to be
verified by this show. I had never seen any video besides tBoWCCL, so seeing
Uncle Walter was a pleasant surprise.
Just so everyone knows, I'm not a newbie. I used to post here under the name
Atropos, and under a different address. Now that I'm out of school for the
summer, I'm receiving The Magical Armchair at home.

"bennies" sounds like we're the Benny Hill fan club. How's about " Komeda
Sucks! They look like Devo!" That's a great anthem. or, "I'm An Angst-Riddled
Modern Rock fan who likes to quote entire passages in my letters, then go
back to staring at my lava-lamp for six more hours!!" That's a good one.
Possibly even " benivis foldeons fivertons!!" That'd be cool. Well, i'm off.
Let the backlash begin.

Hi all,
I won't run down the whole show since it followed pretty much what folks have
been sending in [except that they only had an hour :-( ] Anyway, the band
did a great job (no surprise there). I'm not sure they were suited for the
festival. Crowd surfers and a mosh pit does not a BF5 audience make! You
could see the looks on some of the people's faces........."They don't even
have a guitarist!"........and some jerks threw coke bottles at the guys (No
one was hit). Fortunately, there were many, many, more fans there than
assholes.
Highlights: Song for the Dumped with Ben playing the piano strings with his
microphone and The Ultimate Sacrifice, which was hilarious!!
Got to meet some fellow Armchairites........Nick, Alanica, Kelly......it was
nice meeting all of you. The other BF5 fans that I met were equally nice.
Met the guys at a signing afterwards and told Ben that I looked forward to
seeing them in their OWN show. He emphatically agreed. I got the impression
they weren't keen on the festival, though they didn't say so.
Overall: "A" for performance. "A+" for harmonies (KILLER). "A" for the BF5
fans. "D", at best, for the rest of the crowd. Mostly 13-15 yr olds who
probably couldn't name one band playing at the festival.
To the guys: Thanks for a great show and have a blast in Japan where they
REALLY respect and love you guys. Come back to Atlanta ASAP. The Roxy would
be a cool venue. I know you've played there once before. Better yet,
there's always the Georgia Theatre in Athens! Love ya!
