Five. NO MESSAGES ASKING PEOPLE NOT TO POST CHAIN LETTERS, ETC. And,
NO CRITICISM OF MAJORDOMO, LIST ADMINISTRATION OR MODERATING. The latter

I like the "Angry Dwarves" or "The x Solemn Faces," x being the number of
folks on the armchair. (Frank, what are we up to these days anyway?)
Other possibilities:
Officer Friendly's Little Boys
These Girls Who Looked Like Axel Rose
Distributors of the Bhagavad-gita
The S*** Out On the Lawn
or, perhaps with the amount of junk posts on the armchair-
(All this breathin in')
TOO MUCH Breathin' out...
Sorry, I think I got carried away. Maybe we better stick with
"Armchairites," though i do like "The X Solemn Faces."

Hey Boys and Girls,
First off I will not say Fiver in this letter. You know I just
can't get over Matt Pinfield! If he ever interviewed me, I'd sneak up
behind him and wack him in the back. Someone's got to get that chunk of
bark out of his throat.
Repeating my last message:
Anyone wanting to get a copy of 120 Minutes. I got your video!
Just mail me, privately of course at< koenij22@uwosh.edu >
It doesn't look like anyone Armchair people are going to be at

I'm going to Pittsburgh to see the show June 1st (as long as there are
still tickets left) so if anyone from the Cleveland or Akron area wants
to hitch a ride with me, e-mail me. I'm driving up and thought since it
will just be me, I might as well offer the extra seats in my little car
to somebody...
Also, sorry to make everyone so uptight about my Barenaked Ladies
comment. Sorry, but I just thought they sucked. I think we're still
allowed to have our own opinions on here, or did that change when we got
majordomo?
One more thing...read the BF5 dream from Bess, and wanted to know if it'd
be cool to post that on my web site? I have one BF5 dream up now and
have a few more that I will be posting after I finish with these damn
finals.

Hello,
GoodOmen here, and wondering if any of you kind folk who taped 120 Minutes could send me
a copy. I'd be willing to pay for the tape, shipping, and your efforts. If so, please
mail me off the list. Also, a while back someone offered me tapes of BFF- I said I'd pay
and yadayadayada, and the person said they'd be sending them soon. Well, my server got
screwed up and I lost all saved e-mail addresses and have no way to contact that person
to find out if the tape(s) were sent! I have not heard from them, nor have I gotten
anything in the mail. Please, if you're out there e-mail me! I'm going crazy not
knowing the whole situation!!!

People, people, people. Enough of this. Everyone seems to be LOOKING
for a reason to give people crap. This retort is just silly -- did the
original poster make ANY statement to lead us to believe that he thinks
people on the mailing list are BETTER than other BFF fans? NO! He just
said we should have 2 different terms, so when someone's talking about
LIST MEMBERS, s/he can write one word, and when talking aobut all fans,
a different word.
I'm noticing that the only parts of this mailing list that are
exceptionally annoying to read day in and day out are those posted by
people talking about how annoying everyone on the list is... simply
enough, if you're sick of the list, unsubscribe. If you're annoyed at
what someone says, email them, not the list. And if you just want to
let the world know about the ordeal you go through reading the armchair,
do us all a favor and don't waste our time with your complaints.
BFF CONTENT!!! Yes, it IS here.
Does anyone know when or if the dates for the HORDE have been / will be
released, along with who will be playing which dates? If I remember,
Ben mentioned in the AOL chat session that they'd be skipping half of
the tour... as a side note, does anyone know if there is truth to the
rumor that Ani Difranco is playing some dates? I understood she was
going to be in Europe for most of the summer.
And... just cuz this posting is obviously not long enough :)... I was
also wondering if anyone knows of any other recordings (aside from the
publishing demos) of Eddie Walker, Protection and Rocky, as well as
BFF's versions of Majosha's Guilty, Kalamazoo and Cool Whip. As far as
I know, there are 2 demo recordings of Eddie Walker, and only one of
each of the others... and I'd LOVE to get ahold of some more recordings
of these songs.
Thanks much...

It's definitely 'kane o kaese'. I have the Japanese copy of the album, which
has the words written in Japanese for this version of the song. It says it
in hiragana, which I can read. So there you go.

Subject: HORDE IN CHI-TOWN?
Just scanned issue #293 and there was a post about Big Head Todd’s site
saying that HORDE will be in Chicago on July 4. I checked it out, and
the way it looks to me, BHTM will be doing their OWN show on the 4th,
not with HORDE (Their own dates are listed first, followed by HORDE
dates). I'm based in central Illionis, and from what little I’ve been
seeing concerning HORDE so far, the closest venue mentioned is in St.
Louis on July 24. Hopefully they’ll come somewhere else in the vacinity
- - PLEASE NOT TO THE NEW WORLD MUSIC VORTEX in Tinley Park - that place
sucks!! (Those of you from Illinois probably know what I mean!) If
anyone has any info concerning more Midwest dates, post ’em here.
Also, I saw the show a couple weeks ago at the Metro in Chicago as a BFF
virgin, and it rocked. I was caught toward the back under the balcony,
and it was kind of a bass trap - muttled sound. Ben’s voice and piano
were too quiet. I’m not bitchin’ though - I had a great time. Kudos and
hard luck to the groover who jumped on stage and swayed for about 5
seconds before he was dragged off!!

>>Hey all - I wouldn't mind hearing Ben Folds Five doing a cover of "You're
So
Vain" (or whatever it's called) by Carley Simon.<<
I was just going through some old mail and saw this. It's the only cover
suggestion that has caught my eye. I can really hear them doing that. I
don't know if it could live up to Jay Mascus doing "Anticipation", but it
would be pretty cool. I was too young to remember, but from what I can tell
Carley Simon was a Carole King rip-off. It would probably be too obvious
for them to do a Carole King song, although she is the only piano pop person
that hasn't been brought up a thousand times as an influence. How about "You
Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman"? (hehe)
