Yes, now that you mention it, I do. And will, from now on. But the crickets
singing the National Anthem? You guys are on crack.

You don't need me anymore (unless you want gossip). Go here:

http://hordefestival.com

It is up and running and has the OFFICIAL information. Now, I get other
filtered UNCONFIRMED info I will be glad to share as I get it. Just E-mail
me. I was wrong about the 8th being BFF's last date. It is the 16th. Looks
like it is going to be a blast. Also, read closely. BFF will be on the second
stage and second stage performers ONLY play for 30 minutes.
SUCK-OLA. Oh well, at least they will be there. I will in STL and probably
Chicago or Alpine Valley if anyone wants to meet up. I can't wait. All day
fun in da sun with plenty of drink and fine company and music. I hope I
have been able to help my fellow armchair-ites. I have been a crazed
HORDE fanatic lately trying to gather information. ". . .but I get the job
done."

And the article tells the story of how BFF ran into a huge bear one night.

It is true, they hit a bear. It was very sad. However, they did not hit Pat
DiNizio.

Hey all!

Now, not many voted, and that's fine-it is your right as individuals to decide whether or
not to vote. These are the results:

Foldsies.....1
High Fives.....1
Folders (as a general name).....1
Armchairs.....1
Philosophers.....1
Fivers.....2
Armchairians or Armchairites.....4 ( I got a few votes for either/or, so...)
Angry Dwarfs.....4

No name.....2

Oddly, the group I expected a lot of response from (The no-namers) responded very
minimally. There is a tie between Armchairians/Armchairites and Angry Dwarfs. If you
want a definitive name, vote at melani69@mail.idt.net I'll post in a week and then we
can put this naming business behind us all!!! The option of no name is open again, since
you may hate the choices presented you. I am sorry to have taken so much space! Also, I
forgot to mention one little vote I received that suggested the name "Fat and Sassy From
Sitting on Our Asses All Day Long and Reading the Armchair" I sincerely doubt the vote
was more than a sarcastic one, but it is only fair to put it up! VOTE VOTE VOTE ONCE
MORE!

Ok, I checked under CD Now for the "kate" single, but it's not on there. Is
this because they are just behind or do I need to look somewhere else? But
somehow it seems to me that I have seen it somewhere before.... ?.....

Does anyone on this list have a copy of the
Bf5 show that was held at the Carefree Theatre
in West Palm Beach, FL from June of '96? If so could you
please let me know- I'd like to have a copy of it. It was my
first show and it would be nice to have; since I have nothing
from the show to remember it by. I would be willing to trade
for another show or something.....

        Hey folks,

I'm seeing my first BFF show this Friday at 9:30 club in DC -
Woohoo!!. It looks like they are opening(??) for Bettie Serveert. I
have never heard of this band. Does anyone know what kind of music
this band plays and if they're worth checking out? Also if BFF is in
fact the opening band, what time would they be going on?

     Thanks

I have recently just become a member of this mailing list so what I am
about to say may have already been said.

I am from Atlanta, GA. During the first weekend in May we had our 4th
anual Music Midtown Festival. It lasted 3 days and there was over 100
bands there. There were several stages. When I went I went early and
staked out my spot in front of the stage where Ben Folds Five was
playing. For me, their show was the highlight of the festival. I took
several people with me to see them that had never heard of BF5 before.
Needless to say they are now BF5 fans. BF5 were followed by Barenaked
Ladies and Suirrle Nut Zippers. It was a great day. Thanks for
listening.

Hey world, once again it is time for me to be ignored.
I exploded with happiness after seeing TFi, learning of the gig in July
and buying both Kate singles.
I don't know why people are moaning about Tfi-granted he is very
annoying but c'mon, if Ben Folds Five are gonna take anybody's help,
it's gonna be Chris Evans' 'cos what he says goes, like it or not.
Anyway, Capital fm have begun to wake up to it and play it, and every
single Dj so far has been caught out by the wonderful end which is sooo
funny (you've gotta be there). BTW I did tape it (TFI) but it's really
quite bad quality and PAL, so sorry american friends. I do have it on
audio tape, but it's not really worth it as it wasn't that different.
Hanson is gonna be too strong for No1, and George Michael's new Aegean
release with a wonderful Leighton painting an the sleeve is kinda stiff
competition.

For all of you out here in New England, check out the health/science section of
Monday's Boston Globe. There is a pretty lengthy article on the band- it also
mentions when they are on Conan O'Brien's show.

Hi Armcharians. I don't have the setlist on hand, but I'm sure someone else
will post it. I just wanted to say that the show was pretty cool, though the
boys were tired and jetlagged, Ben's piano broke 2 strings, and they didn't
do Tom and Mary (I was hoping...). I'm the girl who got the blue towel (Ben
Folds's SWEAT - oooh - I actually wanted to get all of BFF to sign it, but
left right away, so now I'm stuck with this silly blue towel - all in good
fun I guess.)

Oh yeah, and I taped the show - it came out decently - my first attempt at
taping a show - if anyone wants to trade for it (for BFF or Tori), make me an
offer.

And hey - was that an Armchair type person with the nametag on his shoulder?
I was in a kind of shy mood so I didn't ask...I was wearing the stripey
shirt, and was nearly stomped on by the really tall guy with the hat.

Details about the actual SHOW? I'll leave that to others...
