TOP TEN LISTS:
The Top Ten lists of other favorite bands have been fun but are
beginning to annoy a lot of subscribers. Let's try to curtail the thread.
If anyone wants to volunteer to accept top-ten lists and make them
available some other way (such as on the web somewhere), please step
forward. Or we could all post them to alt.music.ben-folds-five! Also,
please don't post comments to the list saying how annoyed you are with
the top-ten lists, as that would be off-topic. Thanks.

well, i was watching the boys on jenny for the first time last night (i taped
it) and i noticed that right before ben starts playing and the cameras start
to zoom in on ben, you can see that his pants are unzipped. check this out,
those who taped it, and let me know if you see it too.
also, today i was sifting through the archives, trying to figure out when i
joined the list, and i guessed that i joined somewhere around digest 60.
pretty darn cool. i guess i'm old school. not to brag or anything because all
of the other people on here are damn cool as well. i love you all. also,
sandi, did you get my thanks for making me famous? that's all.

I've received 88 ballots, so we're only 12 stinkin' measley votes away
from closing the cover song election. If you haven't voted yet, please
vote at http://members.aol.com/nakedvegan
Geez -- if I had included a place on the ballot to list your favorite top
ten albums, I bet I would have gotten all the votes I needed a long time
ago. :)

I think that's just a natural result of the fact that the fact that the
band is named BEN FOLDS Five. And Ben does write 90% of the material and
sings 100% of the songs... And not that he doesn't DESERVE to have a
band named after him, but how did he convince Robert & Darren to join a
band that he was naming after HIMSELF? :)

I'm guessing it just might not be possible to be that impolite in
Japanese. :)

Did anyone else find it spooky how there was a line right down the middle
of that post?!

personally, i liked the part on conan at the beginning of the song when ben
screwed up the lyrics and seemed to mutter "suck" between the lines of the
verse. it made me laugh. and like everyone else, i loved hearing "franklin
gosh-darn mint." it was so much more esthetically pleasing than your average
bleep or muting... i hate that about the single/video version of battle of
who could care less.

I have kind of an odd question. My first time hearing "Uncle Walter" the
line "Last night he flew to baghdad in his magical armchair" struck me
upside the head, because hey, this is the magical armchair. My question is
this, do the words "Magical Armchair" appear in any other songs?

Probably go to Jersey if they play Horde. I think the date is 8/19.

It does really exist, but I've heard that AOL's new server might noy yet
include it. As far as why has nobody posted, I think it's because the
Magical Armchair has such a reputation for offering quality information
and discussion with *NO SPAM*! Armchair + the AOL BF5 message board +
alt.music.ben-folds-five = redundant information? I don't know. Don't
have the time to check all 3 daily, so I'm sticking with the Armchair,
myself...
