I'm assuming y'all saw or heard about "Brick" being one of the featured
videos on MTV's 12 ANGRY VIEWERS tonight. They didn't win (Rakim did), but
it was a chance for me (and at least 12 other people) to see the video. I
loved it. Very professional, I thought. A couple of the Viewers complained
about Ben's voice "cracking." Whatever...

Hey Fivers,
I'm just spreading some happiness. I got the 2nd c.d. IT ROCKS!! It was
ny first time EVER listening to Brick. I've heard most the rest on the
Buzz (a local music station).
When i heard Brick, I listened to the words carefully and I think it is
not about abortion, but of a relationship breaking up. Well that my .10$
Oh well,
I am VERY CONFUSED!!!!!! I have a question, I have only heard Song for
the Dumped once before I got the c.d. and in the chorus is goes: Fuck
you, I want my money back, ''<-''. And then what does he say? the c.d.
got screwed up in my brother's peice of shit c.d. player and I can't
relly make out what he is saying. Oh well. Gotta go,

Just thought I'd mention my little Ben Folds Five hearing...
I was in Burdines (dept. store at mall here in St. Pete, FL), walked
into a dressing room, and what do I hear but the piano intro to
Brick?!?! :) I almost died! Made shopping worthwhile...and I hate to
shop and I hate malls.
And yeah, I ended up buying the jeans ;)

WHY? Why did I do it? Why did I wait until the last minute to try to get a
ticket to the Charlotte show? Actually, I tryed too early, and was told by
the folks at Moe Levy's that the tickets hadn't arrived yet, and to try again
a few weeks...and now it's SOLD OUT! Can anyone help? I'm a huge fan, but I
lack the parental permission to go see the boys anywhere besides Charlotte.
So this is extremely important...you guys know they hardly ever play
here...i'm willin to pay, whatever (almost) the cost may be. Does anyone know

Jodie's Power Bill was a band Ben had when he lived in Nashville for a
short time. It was here in Nashville that he became friends with Fleming &
John. Ben doesn't mention that he lived there that often, but he kind of
mentioned it (almost) at the Knoxville show.
