be increasing. This makes it important to stay on topic and keep your
posts concise. Avoid the tendency to ramble, as this increases the
amount of text readers have to wade through. If you want to ramble on,
take it to IRC or the newsgroup.
Also remember to be very selective in your quoting of others'
messages. Don't quote an entire post just to add one or two lines. And
be especially careful not to quote the whole digest!!

not to be rude, but when people discuss what a song is "about," they are
usually interested in the metaphor. the deeper meaning. No one gets any
prizes for saying "'uncle walter' is about this uncle whos name is walter
and he sits in a chair and sees kids smokin pot...". that is not an
interpretation!
and see the siilarities between that and "['philosophy'] is about Ben's
philosophy" ?
NOw if someone said "'Uncle Walter' is representative of the decayal of
our democratic government into little more than a big brother type
oligarchy with little solutions but many delusions...." that would be an
interpretation (note: that was just rambling. dont credit that to me
unless it turns out to be good)
so i *know* we can agree that the "high rise" could mean penis
(remember!!! metaphor here!) do ya see?
not saying i agree but you seemed kornfused.
and i subscribed to this list way back in the day but havent posted in 8
months because, frankly (no pun intended), its been cock.

I am solemnly going to make this vow...that I shall never post again, well,
okay, maybe not ever again, but not for a while, because I'm starting to think
that people think I'm some sort of bumbling idiot..I've just got way too much
time on my hands these days. Anyhooo..I just wanted to proudly proclaim that I
too hail from the great state of Massachusetts...specifically the Pittsfield
area during the summer and month of January, and the lovely Amherst area the
rest of the year. It seems as though I'm the only one sometimes from this part
of the state on here, everyone else is from Eastern MA..so lonely sometimes.
Umm..as for BFF content, uhh...I think the guys are swell.

I know that the Sydney release date for
NBP is 22/1/98, and I got my order in
(gotta love my local music store!)
One other thing, somebody mailed me
about roberts BASS DISTORTIONS, and
stated that one of them was the BIG MUFF
well, I questioned a friend that works in a
guitar shop, and he said that yes, there is
such a distortion, but it is made in Russia of
all places. I NEED ANY INFO ABOUT THE
BASS DISTORTIONS THAT ANYBODY IS
KIND ENOUGH TO OFFER, as I'm close to
tracking it down!
