Subject: Neat story!
So I'm taking this screenwriting class and for our second assignment we
had to write a non-dialogue scene.
It had to have two parts, the first part being a main character getting
ready for a big date. part 2 had to convey what happened on the date and
if it went well.
For the first part, I had the guy getting ready to propose to his
girlfriend and had "Kate" as background music.
For the second part I used "Song for the Dumped" to help along the
notion that his girlfriend turned him down and he was pissed.
So that's cool right...but that's not the best part. We have to read all
our work in class and when I came to the part where the music first
comes in, my teacher teacher says "Is this from Whatever and Ever Amen?"
And of course I said yes. So he says, "Hey, i just bought this CD, it's
pretty good."
My respect for the man went through the roof. So this bodes well for the
rest of the semester I think
Boy, I miss the armchair. i hope this ends up getting posted.

Hi Fellow Aussies,
I ended up ordering Naked Baby Photos through CDNow. I got the CD
today... the actual CD was US$12.99, plus postage, so it works out to be
cheaper than getting it from a record shop here.
If anyone wants a tape of it until they get their CD let me know..

Hello there........
Just heard that Robbie Fulks will be opening the NYC show and I assume
some other shows as well. This is very cool. He has a new album out on
Bloodshot Records called South Mouth which is very good. He is very
country-ish, but not completely country. He has a great sound and I
think him w/ Folds will make for a damn good show! You can get more info
and order discs at.........

What did you think it was? Some rude joke? Some meatphor (like Kevin Keeler
tried to dispel)? Well, Big Muffs are common
enough in Glasgow.
SOVTEK seem quite common as a brand, but they make stuff that looks like
its made from ex-Russian tanks. There phaser, the Small Stone, is pretty
dang good too, despite being simple, and they are resistant to some
missiles.
The Big Muff is 6 inches by 8 inches, not specifically for the bass, and
available in Victor Morris, a shop in Glasgow. I dont expect that's any use
at all, but I thought I'd mention it.
You get them in these woodon boxes, with shredded Mig-33 prototype designs
as packaging.

Well, this may have been said, but in Rolling Stone they have a blurb
about BF5 on tour. According to RS, they've gone from "cult status" to
semi-superstars. Also BOWCCL is rated as the single of the year by a
reviewer in this free monthly music mag from Chicago. Cool stuff.

I didn't see this posted before.... I just checked out billboard.com and
Whatever and Ever Amen is now up to 42 from 66. Naked Baby Photos debuted
at #94! Holy cow! I wonder how high they will go, I personally didn't
expect to see WAEA stay strong for so long.

Hey y'all,
My little sis finally bought herself a copy of Amen, and it is missing
something! The banter that is in between songs like Brick and Dumped is no
longer there. Anyone know why? Was it because of the word "shit". That doesn't
seem likely, when you look at the lyrics to dumped. Pretty fishy, I'd say. On
to other things, my porn name is Scott Rosemont, I'm an Ohian for those who
asked, and Heather I need to talk to you about doing some trading. Later.

hey, i'm new to the armchair(if yr worried about my bf5 cred, i've been a fan
since the first album and philly2/21 will be my third show since 96). i feel
bad that i don't really have a point to this post, although i usually do on
the other bf5 message board. does anyone have any odd stories about the
meeting the band(and not just the run of the mill they-signed-my-poster
stories). at the electric factory in november, they had a really awful opening
band, Venus Fly Trap Girls, and Darren asked me very nicely to stop yelling
rude things at them.-dr.rocket

then i'll be DAT'ing it...
would love to hear from others who have done or doing the same..."

Greetangs!
"Whatever" makes yet another free-spirited, steroidesque chart leap, this time from #66 to #42. Meanwhile, NBP, being new to the Billboard charts and feeling somewhat awkward, scans the lower regions of the Top 100 LP's chart, notices some 2-week-old BFF graffiti on the #94 post, and decides to make its home there temporarily. I'd tell you what the graffiti actually said, but I think we should all make a half-hearted stab at maintaining a family-oriented vibe when posting on this list.
Since I didn't get yesterday's Armchair, I don't know if anyone answered the question of what the Eddie Walker line "picked you up and you kept falling down" means the second time it appears in the song. The first time you hear the line, it's obvious: he's a kid, and kids keep falling down, right? The second time, he's apparently an adult. So you think, how do adults keep getting picked up and keep falling down? Oh let's just skip any obvious bar-scene jokes here. Think about someone getting in trouble with the law, going to jail, getting bailed out and then getting in trouble again. Happens all the time. Or someone gets helped into alcohol or drug rehab, gets out, and starts using again. Etc. Right? That could easily shake up a girl.
Goodness I'm sleepy.
