be increasing. This makes it important to stay on topic and keep your
posts concise. Avoid the tendency to ramble, as this increases the
amount of text readers have to wade through. If you want to ramble on,
take it to IRC or the newsgroup.
Also remember to be very selective in your quoting of others'
messages. Don't quote an entire post just to add one or two lines. And
be especially careful not to quote the whole digest!!

Hope everybody's doing fine out there, I just had a couple of things to
say, or offer, or whatever:
Firstly, I think I can define a fan-someone who thinks the band can do
no wrong, whatever they do, and who knows quite a few mindless facts
that actually seem really important to them. Oh, and we had a few go's
at obsessives a while back, if anybody remembers.
Secondly, I mentioned before that everybody should listen to Eddie
Walker, and now most of you have, doesn't it seem as if he's talking
about a few photos, like as in 'This Is Your Life' ? Tres cool, then
that it should be the first track on Naked Baby Photos. I also LIKE the
analogy that only family can truly relate to naked baby photos in
general. That album name was one hell of a choice, wasn't it? It also
enables me to get some suspicious looks when in the days of computer
porn I can wave about a CD entitled 'Naked Baby Photos'. Cool
Seeyaround, people.

I have been looking for one of these for so long! If anyone ever finds any
info of an available one that they dont want, please tell me. The new
models suck compared to the original '77..

This is gonna sound kinda rude, but I have to speak my mind.
i've been thinking a lot lately about how the boys have become so
famous, and i have to say that as happy as i am for them, it also makes
me kinda sad. i bought NBP today and to be honest i couldn't help but
compare it to WEAEA and WEAEA really came up short. in particular I
always felt that though Brick is an excellent, important song it's not
the right song to truthfully represent the band's music. to me their
music is crazy and hilarious and spontaneous. i've been a fan since
before they hit it big, and listening to NBP made me feel really
nostalgic for the times before they did all this fakey, BS stuff like
the appearance on SNL.
it's not their fault; the truth is fame is just promotion; it's just a
capitalized, devaluing business based on money. personally i'm really
scared they're gonna burn out. by the time i finally got to see them
live they already seemed tired, esp. ben. maybe i'm just naive, but when
i read on that last postcard that they've been on the road for 3 years
straight i was shocked. they need a break.
anyways, i'm feeling really nostalgic and sad. i'm signing off the
armchair basically because things have changed for the worse in my
opinion. but i wish you all the best and the best for the boys too. BF5
