Subject: s/t Song-List

After reading the liner notes in NBP I was curious as to what
order people would believe the songs would go on the CD. From what I
can gather, the missing tracks are "Eddie Walker", "Tom and Mary" and
"Emaline" simply because ben said that Caroline Records wouldn't
approve of a 15 song CD. I cna also tell from the noise at the end of
"Best Imitation of Myself" that "Tom and Mary" was s'posed to follow
because they inserted the same moaning-dog noise <at least that's
what it sounds like> to the beginning of That song. So, does anyone
have any evidence or knowledge of what order the Boys really wanted
the songs to go in? Do you have any guesses? thanks...

Ian

>I just had a quick question - The new T-shirts that say "Farewell Tour
>1981", is there anything significant about the year 1981? =20
You may have already had this answered, but the t-shirts are based on =
the Doobie Brothers Farewell Tour 1981 t-shirts. Ben got the shirt in =
Salt Lake City back in March when they played at the Zephyr Club. Ben =
bought the shirt at a Salvation Army in Salt Lake then wore the shirt at =
the show. He rubbed it in to the crowd that we didn't find the shirt =
before he did.

okay, WHEN are bf5 doing 120 minutes and leno? i need to know these
things before i explode. also, 1981 is their favorite year because
they know that it was the year i was born. it sounds strange, yes,
but it's true. sorry, that whole sentence makes me sound so
teenybopper. again, a thousand apologies.
also, thanks for the stuff about the band. i was hoping other people
heard that phone in steven. i actually answered my phone once
because my phone sounds exactly like it. well, that's all. oh yeah,
what's become of kate these days, if anyone knows? also has anyone
read the article in 9X from dec/jan, if you live in richmond? pretty
good. that's all. adios

Hello, all. It appears that no one has been able to really set up a way to
meet up at the Chi-town show, but I plan on wearing a nametag. Keep an eye
out for people with nametags saying "Tom" "Mary" etc. (hint hint, y'all).
Perhaps during the break between Robbie Fulks and The 5, we could all start
chanting something? It would be fairly easy to find other people who are
shouting "Sports" or answering "Wine." Anyways, just ideas. You never know.
Hope to catch up with y'all 2morrow.

Keith

PS. I am crazier, so I can't quite get the job done. <wink>

I recently posted about BFF tickets, and I posted this long, long
message. I just want to say sorry because that message was not aimed
for the Armchair. I was just dumb and forgot to change the "To:"
address. Again, I'm *so* extremely sorry. Now you all know how
pathetic I am :)

Hi, I just got back from the show, it was great. Just thought I would share
how cool that band really is. Me and my friend were hanging around afterwards,
and I have my "Kiss My A$s" tshirt on, and we were hoping to have Ben and the
boys sign our CD's, and I felt something grab my shoulders, and this deep
voice said, "I kinda like your shirt". And I turn around, and it's BEN! I
couldn't believe it was him. So, I asked him to strike a pose, and sign my CD,
and he said, "What the hell" waved the guys over, and they all signed it. He
apolized for grabbing me, and I asked him if he was wearing plaid boxers, he
replied yes, and unbuttoned his pants, then he asked what I was were, I
replied Plaid Boxers! So, we ended up trading boxers, and then he gave me a
kiss, and said I was cool, but he needed to leave to get on the road to the
Chicago tour.
Oh, what a night...::sighs lustfully::

boohoo. i have to say that out of the four shows that i've been to, this
was the worst. worst is such a harsh word...i don't mean it that poorly,
but it was way way way overcrowded and i thought that the doors opened at
8 so i got really shitty standing room (at first...we kinda made our way
to the closer front). the boys didn't do much improv at all except for one
valentine's day song. it seemed like robert wanted to improv more, but ben
kept cutting him off. so sad. and when they played brick, everyone went
crazy (yuck). and i heard these girls behind me saying "finally, they're
playing our song." no julianne and no underground. i was very sad to see
them cut out underground because 1: i wanted to see darren from behind the
drums and 2: i wanted to see disco diva again. and afterwards, the
security people at the american theatre were total dicks. they wouldn't
let us stay inside, they wouldn't let us hang out in front, they wouldn't
let us stand beside the building. so we had to go across the street... and
after fifty gajillion hours outside in the freezing cold, robert and ben
came outside. i talked to robert about his fluevogs (i bought a pair about
two weeks before reading on the ma that he just got a pair) and i shook
ben's hand. why doesn't darren ever come hang out? i would have liked to
have talked to him. well, a little disappointed, but hopefully next time
they'll come to lawrence where people actually know the words to eddie
walker. st. louis is not my cup of tea. oh, and i was really surprised
that i didn't see more members of the 'chair. where were you guys?!
michael, congrats on finally getting to play with them!

Hey, just got back from the show in St. Louis. The American Theater is a
great place to see a concert. SFTD was killer. Well if anyone taped the show
could I pleeeeeeeease get a copy. I don't have any bootlegs, but will be
willing to do a 2 for 1 or even $. My friend made a great comment on the
concert by saying it was "tough".

p.s. Ben's Valentines song was great.

Hi.

The Farewell Tour shirts are an exact duplicate of the Doobie Brothers
Farewell Tour shirt. They didn't design it themselves. That's why they
used "1981".

Fun.
Janet.
