Ok, this is kinda off the BFF five subject, but I just got back from visiting
your beautiful country of AUSTRALIA and I have to tell you that it was the
best trip of my life!!!! The country is incredible and everyone was extremely
nice!!! I saw Sydney, the Blue Mountains, went skydiving over the Gold Coast
and snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef!!! I want to move there it is so
beautiful and WARM!!!! : ) It was a shock coming back to NY...

But, I was distressed to learn that there is this free video offer there that
I did not notice while I was there, oh well. And boy, you guys sure do have
to pay a lot for CD's. wow. You AUSSIE's have to be true fans of a band to
lay out those bucks!!

Finally, to those of you I owe tapes to, they will be sent out this weekend.
And to all others, get your butts out to Australia if you can....it is an
amazing experience!!!

To the guy that posted about the sound in Uncle Walter sounding like a tape
recorder.. ummm.. nope. It's definitely a bong. Goes after the lyric "he sees
his children smoking pot" and then after the bong sound you hear a cough. Hope
that cleared it up for ye.

Subject: My 1st posting

Hey y'all:
This is the first time I'm posting, so I hope I'm doing it right.
I have two things I'd like to say.
I knew that BF5 was going to be my favorite band as soon as I heard "Alice
Childress" for the first time. I had recently moved to Texas and I love it
here but it really bites that I'm so far from all my buds up in Connecticut.
Then, through the old speakers of my long-gone Dodge, I heard Ben say, clear
as a Texas summer "...think about my friends, sometimes I wish they lived down
here but they wouldn't dig this town".
Thanx alot, Ben, for being in the right place for me at the right moment.
Secondly, I would like to thank my boyfriend, Steven Good, for giving me
Ben's autograph after the show in Dallas at Deep Ellum Live. I had to leave
right after the show because of my stupid English class the next morning.
And if anyone ever asks, if you had the chance to get tix to a BF5 concert
but you'd have to wake up to a 104 fever the next day, the show is defenately
worth suffering for! Trust me, I did it!

Thanx for listening,
Erica

 greetings fellow armchairites!

thought ya'll would find this interesting... my school's radio station
(KLSU) has caught BF5 Fever- but in a good way! in the past 3 days they've
been playing:
     Song For the Dumped
     Underground
     Jackson Cannery
     Kate
and get this! Tom and Mary!

yup. no Brick. not that that's good, but at least they're not
overplaying it. they're giving the listeners a good open look into BF5.

Does anyone know what the five actually means? Is it like Folds Five, as in a
poker type thing? Just wondering, or is it a weird thing in Ben's mind.
Because on "The Morning Goes Eclectic" bootleghe calls the sting quartet a
brass band...well I don't know...I'm just looking for an answer. Thanks

his wonder, brick is good, but ONLY if you truly appreciate bff. oh
yeah, battle of who could care less should have recieved sooooo much
more exposure than it did in the states, that was my favourite song.

Just letting peopleknow that I heard Brick this evening on a commercial
radio station. It was on 96.1 fm. The radio announcer was saying how they
wanted to call it prick or something but they thought "brick" would be better.

So, brick is making it here in Australia.

I also tried getting the video on its own but the guy at hmv said the video
was packaged with the cd and they could not separate them. Also they
couldn't sell it separately cos there is no bar code. Isn't that so crappy?
Something about the recording company not allowing it as well.

Oh well, that it!

I never have time to read the list, but I was reading today and came
across someone's comments about BFF popularity, and I can't help but
agree. My roomates have bad taste in music, and listen to this bad
radio station that plays nothing but celine dion and spice girls and
shit. I thought I would crawl into a hole the other day when I heard
BRick on there the other day. I feel your pain. Yeah, I know they
deserve popularity, and maybe even want it, but it's hard to believe
(or i don't want to believe) that the band is really flattered to be
played next to the damn backstreet boys. It's depressing.

            Just a thought

UGH....just get OVER it already. What impact does the fact that BFF is
making some freakin cash have on YOUR life??? It's been said over and over
and over on this list.....there is nothing wrong with these guys having some
modest success. And it is just that...MODEST success so far. Brick was the
first BFF song I ever heard and it inspired me to go out and buy WEAEA,
which in turn inspired me to buy NBP. NBP still blows me away.....those are
the songs that have made me a hardcore BFF fan. SO WHAT if 13 year olds are
buying the CD too??? Why in the world would THAT depress you?? Get some
therapy, do whatever but spare us the WHINING!!!!

sorry if someone else posted about this, but:the sound comes right after the
